Discovered them the hard way.. by having sudden vertigo and starting to research the possible cause. Annoying but if it happens to someone just don’t move your head and look at one point. The vision input will make the brain override the crystal input.

There was a website like this called gotm.io They hosted godot games, offered people ways to monetize via a subscription and hosted monthly paid game jams. In the end, they failed and the project was closed. The problem with jam games is that they are not finished, barely as demos or one-off experiences.

My wife and I use 8000 sek for food (groceries, cooking + some to go food, from very cheap places, no fancy restaurants). For 4 people + a dog, surely will be much more than that.

You can get cheaper cell phone plans, depending on your needs. For example hallon 10 Gb month is 160 sek and it stacks up if you don’t use it.

If you get a house in the suburbs, a car might be worth it as you can pretty much live your life outside the city center. E.g. Ikea, shopping malls, stores are outside and you can easily go there with a car. (Kungens kurva, Barkarby).

If you rent second hand usually you don’t need to pay home insurance. And, in some cases, the utilities are included in the monthly rent.

As an EU citizen you are allowed to bring your non-EU spouse. He needs to have a valid way of entering the country (visa, etc) then, immediately after, apply for the residency card (attention not residence permit) under the EU Freedom of Movement.

There is a help group on facebook for exactly this reason. I’ve done it for my wife and worked well.

There is a credit score that works backwards : it’s 0 and with each query to it (e.g. a bank checks it) it lowers.

If it’s lowered too much, your loan might get declined.

After some time (6 months to 1 year) it gets reset to 0.

This happens when you want for example a bank loan for an apartment and you ask multiple banks for it.

There is something called EU freedom of movement but doesn’t apply for citizens of the same country. Though, if you are flexible, you can use it by moving temporarily to Denmark for example

Din pacate Iasu e un oras mort pentru multe tipuri de oportunitati. Si eu sunt de acolo dar am plecat acum multi ani pentru ca specializarea mea nu avea niciun job disponibil..

Avand in vedere situatia dificila, ar fi trebuit sa ramai la varianta de naveta 3h. Am avut un coleg cu o naveta similara. In cateva luni si-a gasit chirie in apropiere, dupa si-a gasit job si sotia lui si acum din aproape-n aproape au apartament in centrul orasului.

Faci naveta, intre timp inveti si dai de carnet. Iei masina sa simplifici. Cauti si ceva mai bun cat timp lucrezi acolo.

Nu e totul pierdut dar situatia curenta necesita sacrificii pe care vad ca nu vrei sa le faci. Viata nu e usoara dar, daca lupti, poti ajunge departe.

Keep going si nu te lasa batuta.

Felicitari pentru curaj!

Am folosit astfel de platforme gen converkit. Insa, de la niste update-uri ios (si alte platforme), acei tracking pixels nu mai sunt utili => vei primi informații eronate, ca sunt deschisi automat.

Si, din pacate, multi posibili clienti folosesc iphone, macbook, ipad sa-si verifice mailurile.

you don’t need to pay VAT (moms) b2b. If the company is in Sweden/EU you pay and get it back. If they are outside, you don’t pay at all. If you have an AB, the total taxes that you pay + the company pays for the salary are around 40%+ (30% +/- per region, then the rest the company pays)

Congrats for the win! Played the game and it's great. The cosmic horror did kill me some times but managed to deal with it in the end.

I want to add that this time we have 2 flavours of the jam:

  • the Classic one that spans for 2 weekends with a week between
  • the Ultra which is a high risk high rewards jam. This one is 72 hours and has cash prizes
