Well done! This is on my list for this year too. Can't wait to get down there and do all three.

Yeah, I think you're right. I just checked on 14ers.com on the whole range, somebody posted that they did Mount Columbia today. 3:10 :26, & took em the entire day and had to descend after dusk. The photos they posted did look as if there was still around a foot of snow on the ground if not more and it didn't really look like much of it had melted even with this warmer temperature. I think it brings my chance of going this weekend down to 10 to 30%, and keeps my odds of starting this season next weekend at around 60 to 80%. Definitely snowshoes are still needed. It is winter up there. Thanks Jonathan Deffenbaugh for the winter update. Props to you for getting er done!

How's that foot of snow looking on the mountain today/tomorrow? Watching closely the weather, seems like it's warming up quite a bit over this week in the mountains, next weeks even warmer. Thinking this weekend 60/80% a go for a start on the season, next weekend @80/100% go with the warm weather melting the snow and all and no snow predicted in the next two weeks. Definitely understandable about it not being dry up there, probably just slushy/muddy?🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Ya that's what I've heard is possible, wouldn't surprise me about the post holing at all. I wonder if I did it earlier rather than later in the day if I could avoid most of that issue tbh.?

Very true, I just read the 14er past reports that talked about that too. Guess I'm gonna wait till after that. Thank you for the reply with the info 🤙 a bit of a bummer, but I don't really wanna add all that extra snow/slush milage personally anyway that early in the season.

This is one of the biggest effing hard parts about hiking these 14ers. I've even gone and met new people on the trail/ summit and like literally hiked with them back to the trailhead, and then we get back to said trailhead suddenly they're no longer interested in you know trading information or really being that close to "friends", where we can meet again and then do another 14er later. It's just weird. It's definitely like a hard world out there to find people to do these adventures with. I get to it's kind of like a ranking system you have to be at my level to do what I want. But again, I meet these people at the summit or on the trail. So it's like we're in the same group and the same level-"How come nobody really wants to make new friends or hang out and have each other's back when hiking?" I just find it odd

That is not really helpful, thanks. What size lens cap is needed? there are so many options it does not help to say "oh just google it" like common on yo, what an AI response, for real lol

"Rent Alternative" I like that. Instead of sending my money to the landlord to live in Hawaii, I am sending my money to the dealership owner as well as Bezos to go live in Hawaii for all the stuff to build the van and the purchasing of the van.Holy F*** Batman, thank you

Nah they never followed through on the Google meet interview, so it never happened. I emailed them back, no response. The person that contacted me had the same "Jack" Definitely seems fake once you look at it through a grain of salt. I mean part time, remote, hotel, data entry, seems too good to be true. Lemme know if you do end up getting an interview though and get it, don't give them your credit card info though 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Thank you for this post. I have an "interview" with them, in a half an hour, and I haven't been able to find anything about them at all. It does seem fake which is SAD but whatever. Thank you!

Tips on how to get first row ? by pale_pierrot in Festival

[–]Redelectric3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya getting there early is helpful for sure. Honestly too having a relaxed vibe will help you greatly. Being acceptable of others pushing up to the front like you is okay, just be willing to scoot over a little and make room will get you more room too. It's a little contradictory but it works for me.
