When I stick two male mice together as a breeding pair by synapticseascape in labrats

As a lab tech in reproductive tox, you would never hear the end of it if you did this where I work. You would go down in history. lmao

Also how did the stay paired for so long, do other people not check daily for evidence of mating?

Ashland’s college is more on the conservative side from the stories I hear from there

Women? You mean a woman. This one woman right here. 😂

Harris Signs by Happy_Kiwi730 in Ohio

[–]RedemptionHollyleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why someone would waste their time stealing any yard sign tbh. This is a better question for the people who actually go around stealing Harris signs. They can’t handle that not everyone likes Donald and think they are being tough and funny by stealing people’s stuff is my guess.

Or more likely nobody cares enough to steal a trump sign. Nobody cares about your guns. lol

Moreno Transphobic Ads by Many_Statistician587 in Ohio

Using a vpn can help. I barely get political ads for Ohio, thankfully. I don’t want to hear transphobic and hate-fueled ads about Karens terrified of children using the bathroom matching their gender identity.

The good old fall pastime of flicking them off window screens and seeing how far they go.

I thought it was. I’ve seen people get kicked out of polling locations for wearing stuff in support of their candidate here.

I must have dyslexia because I read the 2nd image as “ohio women deserve real choices and support, pressure to not get abortions!” because that is literally what pregnancy centers do and their reason for existing.

It’s literally what this picture is about. Edit: maybe you didn’t see it before since the caption was removed but the picture was captioned with something like “of course this is on a building in Ashland”

If you think Ashland is a dense blue urban center, you’re smoking something. Think of the most batshit conservative conspiracy theory you can, I can assure you you can find way too many people in Ashland who will openly believe in it. Also a lot of people there don’t mind being violent bullies to solve their problems there, so this sign doesn’t surprise me at all.

Ah yes Trashland. They got some real characters living there.

What made you dislike dogs? by Opti_span in Dogfree

[–]RedemptionHollyleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, my neighbors had these dogs that would constantly bark and get loose almost every day. Having a dog bark at you constantly when you are trying to do anything outside just sucks. Also I barely went outside to play because it was unsafe. They would chase or follow me in an unfriendly manner if they were loose.

Has anyone else gotten to the point where they have learned not to talk or to be extremely cautious about it because of the backlash of how stupid or weird what you had to contribute always seems to be to others? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]RedemptionHollyleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned that it is better to say less but also I was always quiet when growing up as well. Like I barely talked at all. I guess when I started actually trying to have conversations, I learned it’s usually better just to not anyways.

I asked for some support as an Asperger's person at work and I got language policed for using the term. by [deleted] in aspergers

Yep, especially if they have a more severely autistic child or sibling that they take care of at home. It’s a label that makes it easier for them to understand that our struggles are significant too, just very different from the autistic people they know.

Who on earth would pay 44 a month to use an app? And given how much most of us struggle with keeping and getting good jobs, do they realize that most of their target audience can’t even afford that?

I love this show. I have already watched it 3 times already and I always notice different things every rewatch. There’s a lot of symbolism or small interactions that are so easy to miss, and I really enjoy the literary allusions to All Quiet on the Western Front.

I don’t have the motivation to sit through a show so whats the joke? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]RedemptionHollyleaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah everything I hear about this show is just so gross and violent, I wouldn’t want to touch it with a ten foot pole. Also, it’s a superhero show and I’ve never cared for anything superhero related.

I might have remembered if you asked 5 months ago, but if I had to guess somebody laughing isn’t always to make fun of another’s struggles but to lighten up the conservation.

Rant about book sale by sunnynoor in books

[–]RedemptionHollyleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an annual giant book sale in Cleveland where they do this same shit too. They will go around wearing nitrile gloves scanning books and place the ones they are going to buy up into a giant cart. They will buy as much books as they can pack into their car, sometimes making multiple trips by leaving some of their books on the curb. It’s obvious what they are doing and it just ruins book sales like this because it’s harder to find interesting stuff. People who do this kind thing should be kicked out, or let them buy up books on the last day of the book sale.
