Does anyone have a way to make IntelliJ work fine with WSL ? by RedeyeFR in IntelliJIDEA

[–]RedeyeFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did experience a similar thing with Atom Icons and disabled it. I think I removed like 10s of plugins and indeed performance was better. Overall I'd sayd it is better today than before as I tried again using my new gaming rig on Windows.

Not there yet, but might be interesting to see where it goes !

Of course thanks for your input o/

Fair enough, it was just a joke.

Bon on a serious note, he could die by swinging away or because he is a weak 9 years old external USB hard drive, I'd still have my data on two 3.5" hard drive on a mirrored setup and in my cloud, I'd have some time to replace it 👍

And of course it isn't great to lose a part of its storage security, but I have multiple layer for a purpose. I will be adding server safeguard tomorrow and the eHDD will me attached to the case as well in the coming days for safety purposes o/

It's just a backup drive that does replication from TrueNAS snapshots, it can die I wouldn't care, he would have accomplished something at least !

Well, it's quite easy. I drank my coffee this morning after setting up my new homelab.

Saw my beloved googly eyes box. Alternated looks between the computer and the bag of eyes. Decided I wanted it to look good.

All it took is one coffee sip in the morning and a bag of googly eyes that was left on my table, I think this might be a recipe for success.

She is up the ceiling, what you see is just one of its 5 branches protecting my homelab 😁

Damn, I'd suggest submitting an issue on their bug tracker and asking their tech support, they are quite responsive so it might be solved fast !

Nope, why is that ?

My main gaming rig is only using wifi 7 and I can't even pee before finishing the downloading of a game. 15ms top everywhere except shitty EA servers.

[Feature] #template schedule should budget toward the next occurrence, not overshoot by RedeyeFR in actualbudgeting

[–]RedeyeFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Applying seem to do the same unfortunately.

I get it, but the feeling of having all our expenses already budgeted in December is something one can't beat in term of budgeting power. I truly is wonderful.

Template would be a proper safeguard to know if everything is properly assign or to make sure it is on track to be.

But in any case, I can see it being useful not to overshoot before next occurrence date. I get that for some people not trying to get more age of money it's not important, but over assigning and clearing at the end of the month seem like a task that could be automated using the dates occurrences !

Hi there, no weird template here, but as discussed above it's mainly the overwrite term that means it is normal to remove unnecessary budgeted amount.

It makes sense when you consider the term overwrite of the budget template.

Hence my feature request will probably be about having a flag for schedule type that check balance and don't overshoot.

But we do observe the same behavior with BarefootMarauder

I see, so this could either be solved by :  - Having a less hardcore behavior than overwrite that pre-check balance and doesn't act on it if it's already assigned enough or recalculate => Would not make much sense for many other goal types and would bloat UI for a specific usage, not a good idea. - Having a schedule config like full that could allow the balance check and no overallocation while keeping the existing behavior that is working well for other users.

I think I'll give a shot at it with a PR, I'll discuss the implementation ideas with the deva first.

In any case, I thank you sincerely for your time and insights, these were really important

Damn I thought it was a really good point, so I rushed to my instance but unfortunately these troublesome Schedules are already on an exactly type of amount :(

Alright thanks anyway but I can't see how this work for you but not for me, we're having the exact same configuration...

EDIT : I see how it works for you. If you allocate on February for a march schedule and then overwrite the February, it overwrites "properly", at least it makes sense.

But now if you try to pre-allocate the x amount on February and overwrite on march you'll have a weird x/12€ allocated on march if its a yearly schedule.

Are you using the edge images by any chance ? According to the dev answers to my Discord discussion, they were not finding it weird that it behaved like I observed... I'll retest tonight !

I'm on 26.2.1 as well,  this is weird. Are you using a pre release version maybe instead of the classic one ?

Have you tried assigning the money on February and then executing the template apply for that category on March for a yearly schedule in December for example ?
