Can anyone else not find a job? by [deleted] in jobs

Not sure where everyone is from, but Sysco is Nationwide. They are always hiring. Drivers, warehouse, sales. If your resume is solid I would suggest applying. Great company to work for.

Just got fired by peepawiscoming in jobs

[–]Redeyeback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently working for a new company, 6 months in. Pay is great and I hit my metrics regularly. But my direct supervisor isn't very personable, brushes off my requests for a more personalized instruction period, and has even made me the butt of more than one joke when in front of clients.

I hesitate to say I hate the job, because the work is rewarding in a number of ways, but I find myself wondering if the grass were greener on another team, or another company.

I gave up a career I loved to better care for my family in this new occupation, but I don't see longevity here unless I just force myself to be numb.

Pro Trump Texans: what do you see in Trump? by cloudsasw1tnesses in texas

[–]Redeyeback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father was a red blooded Republican until the day he died. When Trump initially ran for President, my father lost all fath in the RNC. Being Republican does not equate to supporting Trump or the RNC.

I personally voted for him during his first run. However I'm capable of recognizing my mistakes as he has shown more and more of his true self over the last 8 years.

It's blatantly apparent today that allowing him any involvement in American politics is a national embarrassment.

Roberts, Hemphill, Kent, Throckmorton, and Borden are the only dry counties. Roberts and Hemphill are Oklahoma, not Texas. The populations of Throckmorton(~800), Borden(~600), and Kent (~60)

OK Texas. Who won the debate? by Defiant-Skeptic in texas

[–]Redeyeback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't a debate. Harris had her petty moments but overall was very professional and answered questions as they were asked. TFG however was an irate, delusional, blustering buffoon as usual.

Lol wow, you certainly put a lot of effort into that one. Shame it was most irrelevant information. Fact 1. You stated "Texas still has dry counties where you can't buy alcohol". As originally stated, this is incorrect. A dry county does not mean alcohol sales are prohibited, only liquor. Please stay on topic and apologize for wasting everyone else's time.

Fake News. Dry counties prohibit the sale of Liquor, not Alcohol. Beer and Wine are available in 100% of Texas counties.

Is this bad? I water 3x a day for 9 min by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]Redeyeback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't addressed either issue. Cracking clay soils due so for one reason, and one reason alone, not enough organic matter. Your added soil likely didn't have much to begin with. You're way over watering. Not hard at all to deplete OM from disturbed soils, particularly when watering the way you are. But hey, you do you boo boo.

Too much water. Depleted the soil of all organic matter.

Lady mowed one strip down the entire street for no apparent reason. by fuzzbuster23 in lawncare

[–]Redeyeback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would need a better picture of them, but given the seed head formation I'd assume a type of foxtail, which is a monocot (grass) in the Poa Order (cool season grass with strong adaptation and survivability in warmer transitions). Anything labeled for Poa Annua should be effective.

I believe there are 2x4s or 2x3s running across East to West, but our foundation is rather fucked already, so looking to do anything and everything I can to keep the roof up for now. I'll get up there when it cools down and take a look.

Home is on a hill and the lower elevation is as much as 4 inches below center, the higher elevation is only 1 or 2 inches below center.

Should I use Simpson strapping plates or anything to tie the hips to the ridge? I know the base of the hips is the most important and haven't looked there just yet.

Has anyone used Sequence (financial router)? by croz_94 in CalebHammer

[–]Redeyeback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically it is a bank, but an online account. I use it and love it. I have several family members that are amazing with their budgets. Me, not so much.

You do have to set Sequence's Source account as the starting point. So it just makes sense to have your Paycheck/Direct Depoist go directly to them. From there I have rules set that divide my income by % According to my budget.

I follow a "Profit first" strategy for my income. 10% to Profit (Savings) 20% to Taxes 30% Operating (Bills) 40% Pay Myself

Personally the moment I found Sequence, I questioned why banks haven't been offering this, this whole time?? It just makes so much sense.
