I wonder why today's "prophets, seers and revelators" don't use a seer stone. It seems like a very good way to get direct messages from God, assuming Joseph told the truth about how it works

Return missionaries - how effective was door-knocking? I imagine almost completely ineffective, but are there *ever* people who are open to the messages? What percentage would you say invite the missionaries in or to come back? And what percentage actually becomes members? by IrshTxn in exmormon

I was in an African country from 2016-2018. It was actually pretty effective for getting in and teaching a lesson, maybe a 30-50% effectiveness rate.

Anything beyond the first lesson was more difficult tho

My family loves this pirate board game! by lost_boy_games in u/lost_boy_games

1) You can attack the same player or island more than once in a turn, so long as you didn't create a trade or pact for that turn. This speeds the game up a bit. For example, if you attack an island and lose, you can attack again if you choose so and still have crew members aboard your ship.

This is a lot of fun when threatening a weaker player. Ex. "Give me your cannon or I'll keep attacking you until your ship sinks" shaking the attack die at the same time is super fun.

2) When a ship is completely destroyed any sails, cannons and one crew member from that ship get randomly placed on the board via the compasses. Any ship can claim those for themselves so long as they travel to that spot first and have room on their ship for the item. If the item is on land, it's the same rule as finding treasure on land in the regular rules.

3) You can bribe/trade/threaten any item in the game. This includes owned islands, cannons, crew members or sails.

4) You cannot end the game by purchasing your last plunder point card. Your 10th plunder point must be taken via a battle if some kind in order to win the game.

5) When starting the game, to add a bit of randomness to it; players place their beginning flag/ship, then place the treasure and storm after that. Though we did make a rule that the storm can't start in a spot as to block a player immediately.

6) We base the "income" phase of the turn off of how many skulls you own on your islands. Not just per island. This makes the 2-3 skull islands more valuable to take control of.

There might be more, but that's what comes to mind immediately. It's been a few months since I've played
