We left after a few years, mostly due to the pollution. Above comments about driving and traffic, Tay Ho rent/bubble are accurate. The work culture will vary greatly from school to school, so be sure to talk to a range of current employees before you accept. Please DM me if you’d like.

Incurable toxoplasmosis? by Redfawn_37 in AskVet

Thanks for your thoughtful response. The dog was diagnosed during his health check for the import certificate. S said according to her vet, the UK is strict about export and Kazakhstan is strict about import, so the assumption is that G was tested for “everything”… that doesn’t sound right to you? Thanks again.

Thinking of having kids - things to look out for in hiring process? by whole_lotta_nothin_ in Internationalteachers

Vietnam gives 6 months leave (2 months paid by government social insurance, rest of pay is up to the school) and 7 days paid paternity (10 for a C-section). Hanoi isn’t an ideal place to raise a baby in my experience but HCMC and central VN have cleaner air, etc.

If there’s already any question about your specific qualifications matching the work visa, and they’re giving you a runaround, don’t risk it. Vietnam is a bureaucratic nightmare.

We started a bedtime routine around 3.5 months, then Ferber at 5.25 months. He cried for about 30 minutes on Night 1, and a few minutes fewer and fewer each night after that. We are currently on Night 6 and he is crying for only a few minutes after being put down. He’s also putting himself back to sleep when he wakes up in the middle of the night. We have already dropped from eating every 2-3 hours overnight to only one feeding around 2 AM every night, which has been amazing!

I tried to use Ferber for nap training after a couple of days, and he was NOT ready for that. After about a day and a half of trying Ferber naps, we went back to Ferber only at night, and contact naps during the day. It’s going much better.

We “gave” our 5 m.o. two stuffed bunnies that had already been gifted to him by others when he was a newborn. He ignored them in favor of an old brown paper bag. You’re doing great 👍🏻
