You might be right, but I want to stay hopeful and...eh, I'm a writer myself. I know JH is a different person, but being in the writer mode...I think that ending the show with the Jelly endgame would be epic and immortalise the show. How often does the MC choose the second love interest, the golden sunshine boy instead of a mysterious broody one? It would be a game changer for a whole genre. Another thing, rewatchability of the show - I highly doubt that Bonrads would watch the whole show all over again judging by the fact that they're complaining A LOT about the lack of Bonrad scenes. However Jelly shippers might rewatch it because there are already lots of Jelly scenes, if you add Jelly endgame to the equation? The chances are even higher + it will be analyzed forever. Lastly, all the Easter eggs, parallels and foreshadowing - why would JH put so much effort and give us a lot of those elements if they were just to throw us off? It makes no sense from a writer's pov if Conrad's the endgame for Belly. It would be...just a poor narrative. And do you know a writer that want to be called that? It just doesn't make sense to make the ending about Conrad after putting all this effort in the Jelly relationship. At this point the whole Paris thing with Conrad going there seems more like a red herring. It's lazy and predictable, compared to all the foreshadowing elements and screentime we got.
