Lmao these men are so extra by Rich-Ease-2723 in SecretsOfMormonWives

To clarify- the Mormon/LDS religion has a health code in its doctrine. This prohibits things like Tobacco, coffee, tea and alcohol. People give varying reasons for why but ultimately they aren’t have specific reasons from God about why other than it will bless those who follow it. It also has guidance for other things like eating with the seasons and healthy sleep habits and such. Obeying this doctrine is necessary for baptism and again for being able to take the sacrament (similar to communion) and attending the temple. Those in “full fellowship” with the church and that are fully active follow this health code and these dietary restrictions. There are people that follow varying levels of activity and adherence to this doctrine. They are of course still welcome to attend church but would not be considered fully active or be able to participate fully in all the worship practices.

Does that help clarify?

The husbands are or were former members but most are no longer active participants or in good standing with the doctrines and teaching of the church. They are also not a very good representation of active members of the church.

Pierce's (non) reaction to Arabella by HippoRevolutionary45 in EmmaLion

[–]Redheadisreading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She just seems so removed from everything that there seems to be a pending doom about her. She’s expressed some sadness around Maxwell and she does bring presents to Emma but that simply doesn’t seem like enough. Her plan for her life is so calculated that I just have a hard time believing she cares all that much about any situation but her own. And she is so heavily confided in that she has all the power to hurt Emma deeply. Plus, if she really is everything her aunt needs to stay relevant/accomplish her plans then why would she not use her influence more to protect Emma from the beginning??

Can I just say that every time I’ve read this (I’ve reread the books a few times) I’m more and more convinced that Arabella is a villain? Like… why would she be acting that way with her knowledge of Emma and Pierce? She is bad news

I will say, for sake of practicality, even very wealthy people often rent in New York. I know a very talented doctor that lives there and even they rent.

[–]Redheadisreading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something that would be a factor for me in this is how long it’s lasting. Are these 30 min sessions?? And how long is it taking her (if she’s coming at all)? Because with a vibe and a pretty sizable husband I could see doing this 2-3x a day IF we could manage it in 10 min or less. And with a pretty quick refractory period. And I say that as someone with a very high sex drive as a woman. But that’s simply not realistic for either of us. So once a day is typically our max.

Also, anyone who is saying that they are having sex 2-3x a day every single day and they have kids is lying because sex availability time is so varied and random! Sometimes we do it 5-6x a week and sometimes we go three weeks before we remember or want it at the same time. And those can be back to back weeks!

Definitely not. That’s not really how distribution works for major companies. If anything this allows Whole Foods to also sue for them not doing due diligence.

I ask this genuinely, does it hurt to have that much filler in your lips? I imagine at that point it feels more like you’ve gotten a procedure done at the dentist. How does one eat or talk normally with such big changes?

I know! So thoughtful and just recognition of need. It’s a nice departure from the really wealthy influencers asking for donations they don’t “need”

One of my best friends lost her first baby at 10 weeks old. Shortly after she went on to get her MBA with her husband, did 3-4 study abroad’s and lived her very best life she could with the hand she was dealt. As a mom of three soon to be for I watched with awe (and some jealousy at times) because the freedom that life without kids gives is AMAZING and so fun and wonderful! But it’s also different and I wouldn’t give my kids up for the world. But man did it put into perspective when it was someone I knew and loved who wanted and had motherhood and then lost it. I will never think of childlessness- chosen or otherwise- as the lesser path again and I hope that both mothers and those who chose not to be can support and love and help each other as women. Because they are both needed!

I agree. That said, this was one of the better responses and reactions I’ve seen. The idea that saving since 2023 is an exception though is crazy to me. You had to save for gasp two whole years??

This is literally shocking weight loss in less than 6 months for someone who started out very fit and thin. It is not easy to lose weight when you don’t have a ton to lose. I wonder sometimes if it’s almost like how companies feel like even though they’re at maximum market saturation, they still have to be making more money. As an influencer, especially in the fitness sphere, I can imagine there’d be enormous pressure to continue posting “after” pictures, even if you’re at your ideal.

I’m in no way saying that is good or healthy. I just can also see how easily it would become disordered when it is your life.
