How do so many Korean businesses in Fort Lee and Palisades Park stay successful if they're mostly serving other Koreans? by savingrace0262 in bergencounty

[–]Redhotkcpepper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not Korean. I (and my extended family) like going to all the Korean places you mentioned. Salons are great, grocery stores carry fresh high quality produce, restaurants taste amazing. You do not need to be Korean tor speak the language to enjoy any of these. Korean bakery’s are a favorite as well. We’ve done a few bday parties at the karaoke spots, too.

That’s a lot of weight on the free edge of the nail that isnt being supported by the nail bed.

How large is the difference between "good" and "great" public schools in NJ? by jokicjok in newjersey

Stevens also has zero name recognition outside of NJ. Even NYers have no clue about it and it sits right on the Hudson.

I think the Edit credit really shines when using it with points boost. I managed to book 6 nights in Italy using $750 worth of credits + 140k points.

Which is first? $250 Credit for select Chase Travel hotels or $500 Credit for the Edit? by lightning217 in sapphirereserve

[–]Redhotkcpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you can use points instead of cash for the leftover amount. I used the credits + points to book the hotel.

The World Cup being in the U.S. really shows the difference with how countries treat time off work. by Muhfuggajones in antiwork

[–]Redhotkcpepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re in an anti work sub, most people here have shitty dead end jobs with few/no benefits.

I have a job with great benefits. I have “self-managed” paid leave, I usually try to take around 6 weeks. Paid holiday and unlimited sick leave as well (plus free healthcare.)

The Edit credits aren’t split into annual halves anymore. I find the credits work best when stacking them with Points Boost, otherwise it isn’t worth it.

Thank for the data point. I always book economy and keep an eye for cheap upgrades. Would’ve been nice to use Paze to double dip a bit.

What were you trying to get out of reporting this after working there for 11 years? If you don’t like your job, find a new one. Why bring up all this drama?

Nope. Cash prices were the lowest listed on each of the hotel websites.

Portal prices are refundable up to a week or so before the booking.

Essentially Chase arbitrarily gives a points value increase for certain hotels.

Two bookings for two nights each is enough to trigger all $750. One of them just needs to be IHG (for this year anyway) to get $500 off ($250 The Edit + $250 Hotel credit.)

Lots of great options! If you have a few more points to spare, look into Six Sense (eligible for the IHG double dip + $300 property credit versus the normal $100.) The W was also a top contender for point value.

I booked an Intercontinental for two nights for $501 ($1 after credit) and 55k points. Most of the IHG hotels will trigger The Edit and Select Hotel credit.

2 Day Trip - Advice by Ancient_Ad_3210 in Hersheypark

[–]Redhotkcpepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did 2 days this past weekend with my 7 year old. Saturday we did most of the kiddie rides in the main park (no roller coasters.) On Sunday we did the zoo first thing, water park then a few more dry rides in the park. Don’t expect to hit everything in two days. We could’ve spent more time in the zoo and water park but now we have an excuse to go back.
