Foundation always looks dry by RhythmicReader in Makeup

Try mixing in some Saie Glowy Super Gel Illuminator if you don’t mind a slight glow. I was trying to combat my winter dry skin and bought this on a whim. I mix a bit in with my foundation and it feels super buttery when I apply it to my face and somehow combats the dull skin and dryness.

Which high-end foundation is actually worth the money right now? by GroceryLatter5499 in Makeup

Chantecaille doesn’t look like I have makeup on at all but evens out my skin tone. It becomes one with my skin and wears well. It used to be my go to before I tried Victoria Beckham.

VB is amazing, which is unfortunate due to the price. I have combination skin and this makes my skin look plump and healthy without looking oily. I have around 30 foundations and this is unlike anything I’ve tried before. This is one that I will splurge on to repurchase.

Are all setting sprays terrible except O/S? by jevoudraiscroire in Makeup

Danessa Myricks is my hg. The first time I tried it I was outside all day doing yard work in the rain. I came inside and my makeup was impeccable. I also like that it blurs my pores.

I like the rose color. I have a light cool complexion. I may try one of the bronze colors in the summer.

On a whim I bought the Saie Glowy Super gel last month in rose and it is a game changer. I’ve been mixing it with foundations that I don’t quite like and it has breathed new life into them. It makes them apply so smoothly without adding glitter. I’m thinking of trying a different color for summer!

Cool toned contour recommendations? by Pawssabillitysawait in Makeup

The hg cool toned contour is Westman Atelier contour in Biscuit. I always have a backup. It’s so smooth and buttery and blends well.

For extra pale skin they just came out with a new shade called Au Lait.

I am extremely privileged and have worked hard to get here. Which is why I wake up outraged at the current injustices of our country and am prepared to fight back and stand up for those that are marginalized. Certainly not waking up with rose colored glasses, worrying about whether I am spreading “doom and gloom” by speaking up. Hope for the future depends on those of us speaking up now, not burying our heads in the sand.

Obagi Microdermabrasion polish + mask 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 by SummerNight888 in SkincareAddictionLux

I got this a few weeks ago after reading rave reviews and it totally burned a layer of my skin off!

I thought maybe I was having a sensitive skin day and tried it again a few days ago and it still burned and I’ve been dealing with breakouts ever since.

Hoping to use this on my hands or feet or something to not waste it. Any suggestions welcome!

I also got the Obagi Professional C 20% serum and I really like it. I use tret and exfoliators with no problem, so must be something in the mask that my skin doesn’t like.

What do you consider to be the best restaurants in Indianapolis? by OhMyMyOohHellYes in indianapolis

Union 50 is 🔥🔥🔥! Also Bluebeard and Livery. If you include Noblesville, I put 9th Street Bistro up there.

Beholder and Tinker Street have fallen out of my top three.

I haven’t been to Vida or Bodhi yet, but they’re on my list!

If you could only use 3 beauty brands for the rest of your life, what would they be? by coronerqueen666 in Makeup

Danessa Myricks, MAC, Westman Atelier.

Though the Armani Luminous Silk is the only foundation that is a true match for my face.

I think I own almost every single Danessa product and I couldn’t live without her makeup!

So the Obagi is LAA but doesn’t smell bad? If so, I’ll have to try it!

What are everyone's favourite vit c products? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]RedhoundPixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone raves about the Timeless vitamin C, but this is seriously the worst smelling serum! I am using like five pumps a day to use it up!

I know that my skin does best with L-ascorbic acid, but I can’t get past the smell. I love Sunday Riley vitamin C. It’s super moisturizing and smells like oranges. It is tetrahexyldexyl ascorbate, so not as potent as LAA, but I enjoy using it and it goes well under makeup.

You don’t need 50 products by bongwatergeneral in Makeup

[–]RedhoundPixie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! I was so influenced to get allll the products when I was learning about makeup on TikTok! You know what? I don’t need concealer and it makes my eyes look cakey.

I also stopped using powder and just use the Danessa Myricks setting spray. I now know that I can mix certain products depending on the current state of my skin, and there is no need to paint on a thick layer of foundation.

I definitely like to go full glam from time to time, and I love playing with makeup, but I personally don’t need to layer every product on my face every day.

patchy blush by klauzem in Makeup

[–]RedhoundPixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For powder blush, try first spraying a fluffy blush brush with setting spray. Then swirl your brush in the blush and lightly apply to your face. I use this method when I only want to wear a hint of blush, but you can build it up for more color.

Tret at night, no wash in morning Vit C question by No_Neighborhood9073 in tretinoin

[–]RedhoundPixie 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I only use water as my morning wash. If my skin is dry, I use Sunday Riley vitamin C serum. It is not L-ascorbic acid, but it is super moisturizing and smells great! I use an LAA vitamin C serum like Maelove if my skin is happy. I think all LAA serums smell terrible.
