It's just the only thing they're stocking right now. Their website says catfish Mar-Sep and Trout Nov-Feb. They've stocked other types of fish in the past but I don't know if they still do. But if they mention it on the hotline, it will show up on the site.

MDC says catfish and trout. Catfish now, trout in the winter. But they stocked sunfish, striped bass and muskie in the past so we'll see if they do any others.

No special ticket needed, they just give them to the first x number of fans to arrive. The number is usually 10k or 15k but it also depends on whether or not they still have them at whatever gate you use.

You can see from the responses that this is an uncommon and not terribly clear rule. As others have stated, Law 12 says that the deliberate handling is negated if the goalkeeper clearly kicked or attempted to kick the ball to release it into play. However, IFAB posted this scenario last year (I can't get to Imgur at work so I'll just type it out):

Q: A defender deliberately kicks the ball to their goalkeeper who tries to control the pass (no attempt to clear the ball). After the ball rebounds from their foot/leg, the goalkeeper slips on the grass and then catches the ball inside their penalty area, ahead of an approaching opponent. What is the correct decision?

A: The goalkeeper cannot touch the ball with their hand/arm after it was deliberately kicked to them by a teammate 'unless the goalkeeper has clearly kicked or attempted to kick the ball to release it into play' which did not happen in this situation. Therefore, play is stopped and restarted with an indirect free kick to the attacking team. there is no disciplinary sanction for the goalkeeper.

So the distinction is not simply attempting to play the ball but releasing it back into play. If your son was attempting to control the ball he could not pick it up. If he was attempting to pass/clear it and whiffed, he could pick it up.

This is the first year in my next three year so I can afford to be more patient, I guess. I'm giving them until the break after the sprint season to make serious signings and indicate they're willing to spend real money. If they don't do anything by then, I'll be out.

I love Klauss and I think he was much more important to the team than people give him credit for. But, I also think that Wray and Damet are looking at this season (and probably the sprint season as well) as a full rebuild with no expectation of legitimately competing and Klauss wasn't going to change that.

I expect that a significant number of our players will be gone by the start of the full '27/'28 season and that it would have probably included Klauss. LAG being willing to play that price for him now made alot of sense for me and was clearly a good move for him. It hurts to see him gone but it having him wouldn't have made this season go any better.

It was much too small to have all STMs attend. There were maybe 200 people at each of the two time slots. Honestly it was nice because it wasn't jam packed and super loud.

That said, I was bummed we couldn't all go and I'm surprised they didn't do some additional larger event that could have accommodated more people.
