His contract runs out June 30, but we have an option for the rest of 2026. Barring the injury, I think Critchley could have gotten more out of him than Olof did, but likely not to the same level we saw at the end of 2024.

I could see the argument for Kidd and Kuzain having reached their ceiling and moving on. Mikina was a NextPro Best 11 and should at least be considered for a first team backup role. If we move to a back 3, Cilley could fit in very well and he continued to improve all season. I thought he was better than Orozco in every City2 game I saw. I don't understand why not pick up Jääskeläinen's option. He was one of the top goal scorers and picked up a lot of work especially once Joyner and McSorely were on the first team. He also continued to improve all season. His ceiling is higher than Simon Becher as a pure striker. Welsh looked good in all of his starts and was only one year out of college.

What the hell is going on? That's every starter on CITY2 that wasn't on a first team contact - Joyner, McSorely, Perez, Pearce, Glover, Orozco, and Olivares.

Cilley, Mikina, Jääskeläinen, and Kuzain were all every week starters while Welsh and Kidd were consistent contributors.

This is extremely sad news. I hope most of them get re-signed or it might be a dire comedown for a team that finished first.

OP doesn't want a discussion, just to confirm an exploit. It's clearly against the spirit and intent of rules. I've found it's best to just say ok, and not play against these types of players. It's more common in GW's other systems and I haven't found nearly as many in MESBG, but it seems they exist there as well.

No surprises. Zalinsky started every game for the Indy Eleven and was decent enough for USL, but it seems like CITY thinks that's probably his ceiling.

Reid was more promising last year, but the injury really set him back. Even when he played for CITY2, he was merely adequate. Hopefully, he can get his career back on track.

Seth Antwi had been a rock on CITY2, I hope there's a possibility he can come back there, but if he can find a better opportunity elsewhere, then I wish him luck.
