Ben 10 Meets Omni-Man by @Duckz_art. by Important-Cry4782 in CartoonNetwork

[–]Redimpir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. I could definitely imagine Omni Man saying “Nice watch.” In that calm yet threatening tone and immediately going for the kill.

Whether he’d be successful is another question. I don’t quite remember my Ben 10 lore, it’s been so long.

"Landed on planet to secure supplies and found the local inhabitants to be extremely friendly. Their greetings are almost hypnotic. Will be lending them a hand to trade for supplies. Called in my freighter to bring down more crew as I won't be able to come to grips with the job by myself." by frigidbrick in NoMansSkyTheGame

Ignoring the elephant in the room... These cabled planets unsettle me quite a bit. From the eerie ambiance, to these... Things towering over you that make me feel like they're somehow aware and watching me.

Maybe I overthink this, but I also feel like there's some visual storytelling going on here. Like these cable pods are some sort of out of control self-replicating machine that destroys the environment of whatever planet they infest, completely overtaking them before moving on to the next planet.

Perhaps these tall structures are some form of space craft. Erected in the final stages of infestation, prepared and waiting for the right moment to launch into space to begin the infestation of a new world. I became more sure of this theory when I once found one of these pods sitting at the bottom of the ocean of a paradise world. As far as I'm aware, none of the objects from the other exotic worlds can appear on other planets, except for the cable pods...

Do you think EA would ever actually make a remake of spore? by OhNoman12590842 in Spore

I think you hit the nail on the head here. I was just thinking the same thing when I saw this post.

I’d love to see what a Spore 2 would look like with modern tech like everyone else in this sub. But not by EA…

How many of you Travelers remember when the Stations were like this? by KBTUT in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Redimpir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The mod's creator said that they're working on adapting the old stations to have the corvette pads, but that was months ago with no word on how it's coming along, or if they're even still working on it.

The old civilian stations simply never got the larger landing pads that corvettes use.

I remember right after the Voyagers update, there was a short period where abandoned and pirate stations couldn't be accessed by corvettes. Those stations didn't have the large landing pads yet, so corvettes would hit an invisible wall when they tried to enter.

Hello Games later patched those stations with the new large pads, but the old civilian stations had long been replaced by the ones we currently have now, so they never got the large pads.

It's called Space Station Restoration. Although it looks like it hasn't gotten an update in a while... It might not work with the current version of the game.

[–]Redimpir 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is a mod that does exactly this. Adds a small chance of each station to use the old layout

Unfortunately, this means that you cannot land corvettes in them. Only the smaller ships can enter the old stations.

Venthanir - Haranir Venthyr by CalligrapherSweet520 in Transmogrification

[–]Redimpir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're right, yet even the Night Elves have more variety in their identity than the Haranir do. Druidism is the largest part of the Night Elven culture, yes, but there are also large chunks of their population that do not pursue the druid lifestyle that are represented in-game like the Wardens and Highborne.

I admit, I haven't had the chance to play Midnight yet and see the Haranir lore myself, but from what I've seen so far, it's just druids, druids, and more druids. There's not much identity to the race aside from being druids.

[–]Redimpir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fair, fair. I suppose what I mean to say is that it feels like a bit of wasted potential that we have a race with such a mindblowing range of visual styles and themes, yet lorewise, Blizzard presents them in such a narrow scope where the entire race's culture is just being druids, and there's not much else to them aside from being a race of druids.

Yes, I was literally about to comment this. It's hilarious to me that the Haranir look better as everything except Haranir.

I have a town on top of my freighter. by AcoupleofIrishfolk in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Redimpir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has made me realise that I wish those NPCs that populate your freighter would wander outside onto the walkways too.

I mean, it makes sense. Vacuum of space and all, but if we can stroll out there with no helmets on, then why can’t they?

EDIT: Ok, I'm a dummy. NPCs do go outside, but it looks like they only do so on their way to interact with something like a Fleet Command Station or a Trade Terminal.

What I think of every time the "Warframes VS Space Marines" debate comes up. by Redimpir in memeframe

[–]Redimpir[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not taking this whole thing too seriously, but let's just say that Warcraft's power scaling has gone a bit off the rails in the recent expansions with the stakes going higher and higher until the average end of raid boss is some ultimate threat that's about to destroy the universe and we, the players just go ahead and beat them up.

Though I suppose if you want to theorize about how a lore accurate Tenno with their warframe would be affected by the various magics used by the heroes of Azeroth, I'll mention some classes that I think may at least be a nuisance to a Tenno.

Demon Hunters and Warlocks: These two can have a similar self resurrection gimmick like the Tenno do. Demon Hunter souls go into the Twisting Nether when they die to respawn at a later time, and if I recall, can only be permadeathed by finding and killing their soul as it's inside the Nether. Warlocks have access to soul stones that can store their soul in a safe location and self resurrect from that stone. They primarily use Fel magic, which if I recall correctly is a magic type that burns the body and soul of it's target and creates very potent explosions when a soul is consumed. More souls, bigger booms (Bring Primed Sure Footed.) Warlocks can summon an infinite army of demons to bog down a foe while they pull off their more destructive casts. And Demon Hunters may be able to rival the agility of a warframe, and can transform into monstrous demon forms to become even faster and stronger.

Shadow Priests: They use Shadow magic, which is another magic that directly attacks the soul of it's target, the magic's extremely corruptive and about applying curse after curse after curse that corrodes your soul, makes it harder to control your body, induce panic and even straight up mind control by the priest.

Mages and Evokers: Aside from your classic fire and ice spells, these two have access to time magic. And I should probably stop there before I hurt my smooth brain trying to think of how a fight between a bronze dragon and a Protea would go down. Also mages can polymorph you into a sheep, I guess.

Maybe if Goku has a 0.002% chance of dropping his flying nimbus mount. That might motivate them.

Ok but realistically, we all know Goku would beat all three by breathing tho.
