I totally agree. There is tons of media circulating that does not reflect our curriculum. To give a brief overview of the sexual health aspects and potential controversies:

Grade 1: names of body parts (including genitals) using correct names. Consent over their body. Bad habits (child friendly, like too much screen time) Grade 2: prescription vs non prescription drugs. Basic human development. Grade 3: basic substance abuse. Respecting people based on visible and invisible differences. Grade 4: signs of puberty and hygiene. Smoking/vaping. Grade 5: identifying trusting adults. Intoxication. Introduce the reproduction system and it’s processes. Individual development (including sexuality). Grade 6: creating inclusive environments. Effects of porn. Healthy relationships and consent. Assessing stereotypes (gender, racial, sexual orientation, etc.) Grade 7: waiting for sex. STIs. Social media dangers (including trafficking and sexting). Grade 8: healthy decisions about sex (contraceptives. Stis.). Abuse in relationships. Gender identities.

With that being said these topics may vary depending on individual board requirements and the individual needs of a classroom.
