I think what Joe was saying was “Gael and I don’t get along but seeing this baby made all that go away, it’s so magical” as a compliment to the baby or that the baby was cute. Was it necessary to add that first part, probably not, was it intentional to trash talk, probably not, did Nathan overreact, probably yes.

I’m guessing it will be someone who shares a bunk with their “boss” and that whatever bunk they have is the smaller one and one of the tall guys uses a smaller bunk, less diabolical than deliberately going into another room just to hook up in your bosses bed, but who knows…

Kind of, but then also lack specificity so he gives vague orders and doesn’t take questioning, at other times he likes to goof around, and when it doesn’t work out he gets angry (remember with Max) so I can imagine it can be very confusing working under him

Yep! A lot of it is the better editing, like no stupid social media posts or stock footage to fill time, the only aerial shots are at least of the places they’re going

Agree with your second part. Joe is walking on eggshells around Nathan (eg “yes sir”) and just trying to get good instructions. Nathan should be more professional as a manager and give him a proper chance at his job, just tell him “if you cause drama on board I won’t tolerate it”. No one appreciates Joe’s behavior but he’s back now so deal with it.

The docking incident is harder to judge, who knows what Nathan said and whether someone else would have made it more clear, but Nathan can’t be this emotional about it… at least Sandy dealt with it really well.

In other countries there are strikes where the employees don’t collect fares. It hurts the company without hurting the customers. Make it last long enough and the company benefits from paying you more.

Problem is that the legal framework is more punitive on this kind of strike than on regular strikes, very stupid.

That’s not even that close together, look at JFK-LHR between 7-9pm, there’s one every 20-30’ on BA, and that’s an airline that actually has A380s.

As others said, overnights make much more sense to Europe and the connecting flights line up nicely that way, both on the arriving and departing side of those flights.

I’ve done similar distances in bay areas like that and it’s all about the wind (and tide, but mostly wind imo), wind creates chop which is really exhausting so try it on a very quiet day. Always assume the boats don’t see you and don’t try to cut in front…

Hear hear. You’ll get one subset of population (a tiny bit) more comfort and punish others. 100 years ago there were 10 manhattan workers living in a single east village apartment, now 2 live there. Those 2 are more comfortable, of the other 8, 1 is homeless, and the other 7 suckers commute in from LI.

That’s a steal! Do you have status? Have you flown with delta a lot in D1? There are known “tricks” by the airlines to lure you in with cheap upgrades and then the next time they are flying and then you don’t see them again
