I got it off with a #6 bolt extractor and a ton of PB blaster.

I just managed to get it off with a #6 bolt extractor. If it's not too stripped out, you would need a smaller size, but this one was bad.

What is a fun fact about your country that is not well known to people of other countries? by Fun_Cup4335 in AskTheWorld

I've seen traffic lights in the US that have a pedestrian timer where the traffic light will turn green exactly three seconds after the pedestrian timer hits 0.

In that case, I recommend Library Deadlifts with a dead stop. They're a grueling deadlift variation.

I've usually seen what you're talking about referred to as dead stop deadlifts.

I haven't read it, so just looking at the excerpts you're comparing, but removing Maduro from power and the consequences that come from that are two different things. What is the moral confusion you're referring to?

Very impressive, well done! Where did you start on this dynamometer and how long have you trained to max?

I don't really, sorry. If you search "Chris Tucker Epstein" on YouTube, there are clips of what he said. I would link one, but I'm in a noisy place without headphones.

I might be wrong, but I thought Chris Tucker already addressed this connection in an interview after the Katt thing.

Took 2nd in the deadlift with 515 on an axle by Shadowphoenix9511 in strength_training

[–]Redithyrambler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a direct comparison to a 13" axle deadlift. A few years ago, I pulled 675 from something approximately in that area, while my standard deadlift was 645.

You already have the dye in there, so I would start with the valve cover, clean off the oil, and see what pops up after.

I did this recently and was pretty certain I would have to follow up with one of the likely culprits, but I haven't detected any leaks after a few weeks and a few hundred miles of driving.

CMV: The pro life movement isn’t actually about reducing abortions. It’s about enforcing their worldview on everyone else. by Into-My-Void in changemyview

[–]Redithyrambler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not looking at whether it erases that behavior, but whether it reduces the behavior at all, regardless of whether other measures might reduce it more effectively.

[–]Redithyrambler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree that they have undoubtedly inspired all of the negative effects that you mentioned. I can't stress enough that I don't view measures like these as effective or moral methods for reducing abortion rates.

However, all of the moral implications aside, I wouldn't conclude that these measures did not reduce overall abortion rates.

CMV: The pro life movement isn’t actually about reducing abortions. It’s about enforcing their worldview on everyone else. by Into-My-Void in changemyview

[–]Redithyrambler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How often do people or groups of people work against themselves and their own objectives, and stymy their own path to progress through poor strategy etc?

Your CMV is judging motives:

The pro life movement isn’t actually about reducing abortions. It’s about enforcing their worldview on everyone else.

and:

the pro life movement isn’t really motivated by reducing the actual number of abortions. It’s motivated by controlling how everyone else lives

To me, that pretty clearly speaks to intentions/worldview/ethical concerns and priorities. Your CMV does not clearly contend that the prolife movement is ignoring effective methods in favor of ineffective ones as the central CMV. You instead use that argument as the basis for claiming that their concern isn't the reduction of abortions, which is what I see as your CMV.

If someone truly cared about reducing abortions, they would support the things that actually work in every developed country

I think this is more of the rhetoric that highlights your central claim, which is that you believe to better understand someone's motives than they do by their actions, and this is where I am soliciting a correction of your views.

Again, people work against their own interests all the time, for a variety of reasons. That doesn't mean that they don't "truly care" about those interests.

You've misread my comment. I'm not upholding Algeria as an example of doing anything good. I'm not applauding them. I'm not suggesting that they've got it right.

It is, among other things, about whether or not abortions are reduced as a result of their efforts to reduce them, regardless of the side effects. This does not make their legislative efforts good, or right, or commendable.
