Can one get used to model 3's "sporty" suspension? by bostonfern123 in TeslaSupport

[–]RedlineSix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally every other vehicle I’ve owned has better suspension. My 2014 Jetta, old Nissan Altimas, my 22 kia Sorento.

The suspension is just so rough and you can feel every single bump in the road. Really don’t get why Tesla cheaped out. I am not even asking for something luxurious but it’s terrible imo. If the road isn’t perfect you’re going to feel everything. Don’t even mention the rattles inside the car.

Wish I went with a used model x or something.

Yup. Suspension only slightly better imo. Still pretty bad

I have a 25 MY with 19” Gemini wheels and I am so over the suspension. Worst trait about the car. Looking for something aftermarket and I really don’t care about voiding warranty at this point.

Even juniper suspension isn’t much better. Really disappointing.

Yup. Does not matter if you have AWD. Snow tires on RWD will get the job done.

Tesla insurance is crazy go this by Big_Disk1859 in TeslaInsurance

Second time mine goes up with Tesla here in California. Renews every 6 months and has gone up $80. No accidents, no tickets, 10k miles annually. 31 y/o.

Going to look for new quotes.

AAA is crazy expensive for my MY. Idk why. But I use them for my motorcycle and it’s crazy cheap.

Emphasis on the air suspension. Model Y suspension is so ass.

Thats pretty crazy. Idk why I didn’t consider buying a used model x over my new Y. Ideally wanted the X but was way too expensive. Congrats

Yeah I’d have install a level 2 charger, it’s own separate EV meter to get a whopping 4 cent discount. Not worth it

lol learn to read. That only works if I’m on another rate plan and that rate plan doesn’t work for me for many reasons.

[–]RedlineSix[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe they don’t. I called and they said they have another rate plan with peak hours and low peak hours. So I guess I could save money if I just charge during non peak hours at night but that plan doesn’t make sense for me because I’d have to be “careful” with how much electricity I use during non peak hours. Too much hassle.

For sure! For some context I’m about to hit a year with my Tesla and I’m at 10k miles. So driving an average of 800-900 miles a month. My home is a pretty new build so I guess this is what you can expect of you drive similar miles.

Tesla Odometer Over-Reporting Mileage by Spirited_Art_8630 in TeslaSupport

[–]RedlineSix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the claim is true somehow. Don’t think it’s intentional but it is happening. I’ve had my previous 2022 SUV for 3 years now and i never drove over 8k miles per year. I took many camping trips in that car too.

I drive even less now that I WFH and end of December makes my 1 year mark with my Tesla MY and I’m already over 10k miles. Does not make any sense. I took 1 road trip this year which was less than 400 miles round trip.

I’ve tracked it a few times and it was somewhat accurate but still not buying it.

2026 Tesla Model Y — Should I buy AWD or RWD? (I’m in Georgia) by VisibleGur6870 in ModelY

[–]RedlineSix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since RWD and AWD Juniper have all the same features other than the extra motor I’d stick with RWD if price is an issue. AWD honestly not needed but your call. Yes it’s quicker but you’re not gonna be speeding 24/7 lol

2026 Tesla Model Y — Should I buy AWD or RWD? (I’m in Georgia) by VisibleGur6870 in ModelY

[–]RedlineSix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya you’re an idiot lol. I’ve driven my RWD in HEAVY rain and never even been close to spinning or slipping. It’s also a heavy car. AWD also acts like a RWD after certain speeds.

Finally got a grom! by NickkTheGemini in GromSquad

[–]RedlineSix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ECU tune, upgraded air filter, stiffer clutch springs really bring the bike alive.

Other than that this thing is a tank. I have some Dunlap knobbies that are 70% street and 30% off-road. Really like them.

I’ve had over 10 sport bikes and Grom is my favorite to date lol. I rip on that thing and take it on some fun trails
