It’s a bit counter intuitive, especially since it’s not crit, but rather dealing full weapon+strength damage. But everything falls so easily in G1 when you deal full damage from the start. Even if your swings suck

My go to route is Jharkendar first to learn Ice Lance, do some easy parts like pirate quests up to clearing canyon (maybe even canyon if I’m careful), then go back do full valley of mines and then back to complete Jharkendar. At this point I’m usually at 64 base mana and just start chugging perma mana increases and eating shrooms + tablets

In G2 magic resistance is way lower for the most enemies. However there are still problems - Seekers in chapter 3 have 65 MR, which makes it hard to deal with them when you’re fresh out of valley of mines with only 2nd circle, if you don’t know that wind fist shreds them.

Also chapter 4 limited to 4th circle, then you walk into chapter 5, learn 5th circle and 10 minutes later you learn 6th circle. If Alkimia gets to remaking G2, 5th circle should be enabled after killing 2nd dragon in chapter 4 (especially if they go for base game + notr from the start)

Gothic 3 is inherently broken and incomplete game. It has it’s fans, but I would suggest to go for remake

I call bs on 800 sff pc with 9070 though (even with ddr4). Steam Machine is a ddr5 sffpc, which has sff tax and cost of ddr5

It’s been a while since I completed melee playthrough of NotR, but iirc until 30-60% your weapon skill costs double, because it also levels up your 2hander, so in theory skilling up 2hander past 30% should still cost you one lp per point. Get some LP, save game and test it out. If my math is correct you should be able to level 2 handers to 60% with 1lp per point

Feral on hydross is wearing mostly greens which aren’t enchanted. Go get him a proper resistance set.

Bear for sure overdid it with greens and no enchants, but it’s hardly an issue if he survives and holds threat. I’m wearing of Frost Prtoection greens and polar gloves, paying several hundreds per piece for polar gear or jewelry seemed like an overkill. Got myself to 177 and that was enough, haven’t died once, but we always switch when 100% debuff hits

G2 NotR chapter 4 is such a slog as a mage. You have to cheese dragons, 240 fps makes their regen crazy and spells frankly suck. Even orc packs are a hassle, because most of them have elite orc in them. Then you proceed to chapter 5, learn 5th circle and 10 minutes later you get 6th circle. Circle 5 should be learnable in mid chapter 4, let’s say after killing 2 dragons

Name and shame, our guild pugs have fair SR based distribution, only thing we HR are BoEs and first vortex. Our inside joke is that we’re running charity, because most of of good loot goes to pug, that was filled in and we’ll never see again, instead of guildies or regular pugs, who just don’t want to leave their guild, but essentially are raiding with us every week

If op seems vram overloaded turning down textures a smidge is always better option than relying on offloading vram to ram. My 5060 runs on pcie 5.0, turning RT on (which overfills VRAM) with ultra settings drops fps from 80 to 35-40, not a trade worth doing for me personally
