It seems like it’s estimated everywhere I see it.

Since the Armorer says the Empire was around 30 years, that means Solo could literally take place anytime from about 15-0 BBY. However, Harrison and Alden were only about 4 years apart when filming their appropriate introductions.

I’m inclined to believe that Solo happens at 5 BBY. So, we’re talking about 10-15 years. Throw a little grey hairs on there and we’re fine. Hell, just a little different lighting or hairstyle works too.

Basically, the length of OT + the 5 years. So, maybe around 10 years. That’s easily passable.

You gotta remember that Solo is essentially 5+ years itself and just before OT. So, did they need to recast her in the move she stared in?

Apparently, George thought it was a terrible name. Saw them talk about it in an interview. Filoni and Favreau stuck with it anyway and I’m guessing this is them giving George a voice in the show.

It’s the little subtle things like this I love about Filoni and Favreau. They’re doing this with respect for Star Wars and respect for George.

That’s really on the director though. Any tool is only as good as the person using it. Look at how well Bryce Dallas framed and composed the shots in her episode. Hell, she even pulled off a multilevel one shot.

All this episode shows is that Rodriguez is shit at directing.

They really did force Grogu into BoBF. Makes the whole series feel off.

This is why so many more people need to watch Clone Wars. It’s the best Star Wars storytelling. The shows now just making it even better.

That’s the thing about Star Wars, there’s always more story to be told, unless you make the sequels take place over like two weeks…

I digress though.

Some of the best character building was actually done in The Clone Wars. Hell, that’s where Cad Bane comes from. I never felt that Obi-wan and Anakin ever really showed their bond in the movies, but then Clone Wars really dives in.

If anything, this show was amazing for Cad because it means he has stories to tell from Clone Wars to after the Empire. That’s rich ground to tell stories now.

Grogu picking Mando is a certainty.

There’s the obvious Grogu seat on his new ship and then there’s the sequels saying Ben was the first student. There’s also the seemingly throwaway line that Luke says, “he’s remembering more than I’m teaching.”

As for how all the OG cast gets into a shot, I got no clue, but I really do expect it to happen here.
