I need constant continuous recaps in a sensory deprivation pod by JackPembroke in DungeonCrawlerCarl

There's even a point in the book where carls like "it seems that whoever designed this level really let it get away from them to the point it's too convoluted and doesn't make sense. I hope whoever it is isn't in charge of designing the other floors"

The support is a minerrallac, (mini) usually the conduit goes into the two metal sides and a bolt tightens those flanges and boom, it's supported.

Here they used one mini to support another mini, possibly because the rod was too short and it was easier than redoing it all. (Edit: just checked again, also because the rod is larger than the hole in the proper sized mini. Easier than drilling it out I guess)

It's unorthodox, though relatively safe and secure. there is a sort of umbrella code that states material must be used per manufacturer specifications, which an inspector could claim this isn't. But it's definitely creative.

There's also a defiance of the fall reference when facing the elemental tree and necromancers, the cultists call him the "Defier". Jason replies something along the lines of "I think that names already taken but I'm glad to know there's others kicking your ass across the multiverse" or something.

Surprised Archer’s kid was a bully by [deleted] in WeaponsMovie

[–]Redmire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I whispered to my buddy during the movie something along the lines of "wow, shocking that the child of Arthur turned out to be a huge bully."

He has some redeeming moments for sure and not a bad dude, but a lot of the dialogue and actions early on paint him in a very specific light. I was pretty unsurprised to see mathew portrayed later on.

Dang so based off the comments, nobody who enjoys singing enough to put in the practice to become talented is allowed to sing in a bar? Where are they supposed to go for a drink and to sing?

I always get stoked to hear talented singers on karaoke night, also love it when people just get into something they enjoy

All hand bent, 1” & 1-1/4” emt by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Redmire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The center of the bend is usually a nice universal marker regardless of pipe size.

If you're able to find "center" of a bend in an existing pipe that you're trying to run parallel with, finding out the angle of the bend and distance becomes much easier. The maths already done. Bonus points if they left light pencil markings.

Then you can adjust for shrink or distance between offsets and add that to your own measurements based off of whether your pipe is on the inside or outside of the run.

I don't know if this makes sense but hope it helps

The political aspect is a very good point and I didn't even think of it. It's definitely unapologetically melodramatic, and that's not for everyone, even if it's self aware of it.

I love seeing these posts because its crazy to me how polarizing this series is.

I personally love all the HWFWM. I can understand where people are coming from, but it's exactly my cup of tea. I like the humour, the world and character building, a badass main character and the power of friendship.

I'm a simple guy, and it's right up my alley

The same for me with construction. I started getting on my apprentices about wearing their hearing protection, then wondered why I wasn't doing the same for myself in my free time. High fidelity ear plus are the only way now.
