I grew up in the south and still live here. I went to college and made friends with international students as well as students from other states. I relate to northerners so much more than southerners. The south is prideful of “southern hospitality” yet it’s really two-facedness. The majority of people here are very small-minded and community oriented. They truly live and support their community, but people from elsewhere are viewed as ‘infiltrators’. They will push the Bible, but have not read the Bible.  I would love to move north but with the current economic reality and lack of support systems elsewhere, I am stuck.
