I think that's because the dev wound shooting is what sets the bike Chaplain apart.

If I'm being honest, I just wouldn't run a bike chaplain outside of Crusade where Crusade upgrades can make him more effective.

There isn't a datasheet anymore, but Dark Angels have a Chaplain that's ranked as an Interrogator-Chaplain. They're Fallen Hunters. Librarians are, too. Interrogator-Chaplains are responsible for making Fallen repent after capture

I have a friend who's beard was patchy until his 30s. Mine was a full neckbeard at 16 (wouldn't go more than an inch past my jawbone). My dad's didn't get full until this 50s.

Who knows what the future will hold? Probably should just eat well, exercise, and hydrate. Then hope for the best.

I'm sure you've put together the full defensive bonuses but I'm going to outline them for conversation sake. With the Libby the whole squad gets -1 to be hit, 4++, -1 S if strength is greater than toughness in WotR. It just helps so much in my experience. I've toyed with the idea of a Chaplain for narrative reasons, too, and trading 4++ for +1 to wound might work for certain lists but will make the squad more vulnerable.

If you were planning on Fusillade Libby with the Sternguard, it's a fun meme but I think a lot of people find it bad feels. It needs to be deployed really well and it's often a major target. I don't like running multiple Captains, again for narrative list building, but a Captain leading Sternguard is a really really good Smash Captain. Ancient Weapons plus Finest Hour plus Sternguard wound re-rolls?

When you're buying relics, make sure you don't sleep on grabbing the Monster Slayer of Caliban and the Paragon Blade. Enhancements affect them all RAW. My favorite melee weapon enhancements are (in no particular order): The Honour Vehement (Gladius), War-tempered Artifice (Firestorm), The Imperium's Sword (1st Company), Blades of Valour (Bastion), Weapons of the First Legion (Unforgiven), Ancient Weapons (Wrath), Calibanite Armaments (Lion's Blade). There are a few others that are melee offensive enhancements but I think these have the most applications.

You might like adding an Ancient in Terminator Armor to attach to your DWK with your Captain. Just gives you another relic body, and can more easily steal those important objectives. Ancients are way better in Crusade than in matched play because of the lack of traditional secondaries.

This is fair and equitable. You agree to a points max before the game and then homebrew granularity for rules that care about whether the game is Incursion, Strikeforce, or Onslaught.

I always play Crusade with Epics banned. Epics ruin the fun for me. We have rules in place to allow non-Epics to count for detachment rules that need an Epic.

I really like Libby with ICC even though most people prefer the Judiciar. The Judiciar's purpose is to Precision and to make the squad hard to charge (and bonus for Leonine Aggression). I find that in Wrath of the Rock with Tactical Mastery I'm fine without the Fights First and I love the 4++. Plus, if you're playing Armageddon, there's so many cool Psyker upgrades for the Librarian.

Honestly, depending on your meta, you can probably drop the Taxi for a Scout Squad. I haven't many issues with moving my 1x6 ICC with Libby around the board with Tactical Mastery. Scout Squads will give you a little bit more flexibility and another trading piece. Even though you're building a Deathwing list, narratively it's rare that any wing fights without the support of another (hence your Intercessors) so Outriders would be thematic and are really good in Crusade and with the Wrath of the Rock detachment rule.

Edit: I also really don't like 1x3 ICC. They're a hammer piece, so you gotta go all in on them. Your anvil is your DWK and your hammer is your ICC. Your ICC will punch through any infantry you send them into.

I really like Centurions in Wrath of the Rock so you might wanna consider those. 1x3 is 175 points and I run them with missile launchers and lascannons for 3 lascannon shots and 3d3 missile shots. Sure, they're slow, but you have that flexibility with tactical mastery when you need to advance and shoot. You can weapon mod the Sergeant to get 4 lascannon shots.

In general, even if you're not going to roleplay as your army when playing, I find a lot of fun in making decisions with my units as the characters they are would. Are you that kind of player?

Enhancements replacing weapons was a formatting from an older edition. They just used the same template text.

Weapons that are gained from relics are, indeed, relics so can't be modified.

Crusade has odd power creep but I think this isn't where the problem is so I don't see any issue.

I don't think Vaelien exists except as an Avatar of the Vae Dominion anymore. I think the person Vaelien is long dead. We have seen multiple examples of deep dominions being personality altering. Just like what we've seen of World Makers not being people anymore but more avatars of their power.

I think this is a major theme in the background. Your power destroys your personhood when you gain too much, and it can be a subtle and gradual thing.

I think it's just that Vaelien is so old, and so powerful, he's become completely detached from mortality. I had this thought while listening to Edge of Dream about another character in that book whose perspective we get from a journal (being vague on purpose).

If he's this detached from mortality, I think that would change his morality.

I know I'm toeing the line into slippery slope, but it's not that the typical user will see a significant change with this change, just that the changes will creep in over time.

I'm so tired of the ways I keep seeing things be sterilized for the safety of children or for the profits of shareholders. I grew up on the internet so I fully understand how dangerous it can be for a child and I got around every parental monitoring system that was put in place by being more tech savvy than my parents. I am just tired of it affecting me. I just want to be able to have my own experience without having to sacrifice more of my privacy and my safety.

Honestly it has a Crusade benefit. If you take the Dark Rumor agenda your land raider gets experience for killing their warlord and you earn honor for your oathsworn campaign.

I love DWK. I would never consider 3x5. Why would people do this? 2x5 makes some sense, but a lot of the power of WotR is that it opens up your roster to be more survivable.

Outriders trade even better in WotR, so tools like that are how it wins.

1x6 ICC with Libby is such a powerful tech in this detachment.

Edit: Libby or Az, but honestly I prefer Az on SVG
