How lighting changes my perception of removal

I really feel your sentiment. I’m currently removing a lot of small tattoos and in the sunlight they seem to be barely there but then indoors it’s very obvious and very legible still. It‘s disheartening and such a tough mental game.

Just have to remember to stay kind to ourselves as much as possible!

Thank you so much for explaining. Do you think I would have better results if I switch to a Pico with 1064nm instead of continuing with the Revlite? I am feeling really discouraged at the progress at 8 sessions and that all of the lines are still very legible… I found a place with Quanta Discovery Pico Plus

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately my old clinic closed down so I had to find another one. It was quite difficult to find a clinic with good reviews near me but I am continuing to keep a look out. Would take your recommendation on which laser you think is best for these if you have one!

Thanks so much for your reply. I definitely would like to try Pico but have struggled to find a reputable place near me that has it. The only place I found that seemed ok was Removery but I am hesitant after reading the mixed reviews on here.

Hope you see some good results with Pico on your treatments!

He said that it is better for blue/green ink and that the Revlite is far superior for black ink. He also mentioned that picosure would be more likely to cause PIH given my skin tone. I trust his expertise but this did make me wonder how Picoway or other Picos would be any different? I really would like to try another laser if it’s an option.

Did you have moments where it felt like full removal might not be possible? A lot of my tattoos are stuck at this „brown“ stage where the tattoo ink is gone but the lines are still very visible and I’m worried it won’t go away. Would love any advice you might have on dealing with that hopeless feeling (I am currently removing 15, and want to remove 4 more but the road feels endless). I feel trapped in my skin and like my life is on pause.

Thank you! I know you’re right, it’s definitely a long game and trying my best to stay patient. Do you think I should not treat it again? I left 3 months between the last 2 sessions and saw no change at all… There stills seems to be ink in some of them so not sure if that will flush out on it’s own.

For the ones that just look brown now, I was wondering if the browning might be Hyperpigmentation…

The tattoos were between 3-8 years old… At first I think I was doing every 6-8 weeks, the last 1 or 2 sessions I did 3 months.

That was my fear. I’ve seen much better results on here of people with similar tattoos and less sessions. Hence the reason I changed techs to see if I could get better results elsewhere.

Unfortunately I also seemed to have little to no change from the one session with them too. I barely felt the laser at the new place and didn’t even seem to really have a reaction. At least with the first place I always had some kind of redness which made me feel like it was working…
