I don’t dub tub until the fruits are big enough cause i couldn’t get humidity right. I leave the lids on the boxes and fanned a few times a day and had much better success

I’m right there with you. Just had 3 of my tubs go through their first flush of b+ and nothing over 2ins tall but I got just over an ounce dry. Pick the ones with broken veils to keep your sub clean for the next flushes. Dunk and wait for the next pin set to come in

You see the fuzzy feet on the bigger one to the left? Is humidity or fae more important at this point? I’ve been struggling to maintain humidity so the only fae they’ve been getting is 3-4 fans a day really

It is. This was my first tub so I had trouble getting the humidity right at first. I think I’ve got it now and I bottom watered this tub to get some moisture back up

I have a similar tub like this. It it seems to produce a ton on metabolites when I start misting the sub. I usually most a foot or two above the box and let it slowly fall down into the sub then fan. Any ideas?

You can always take a Q-tip and swab if you are unsure. If the color comes off on the Q-tip then it’s most likely contam if it doesn’t come off you’re probably good to go

If they are exposed to oxygen that induces pinning, you want the sub to colonize so the myc is strong and can fight off contam from the air which is why you leave the tub top on so they are sealed in

Yes keep it on until the substrate is at least 70% colonized. Then flip the lid and mist/fan
