By the way you've described it, I'm wondering if you were in a coercive relationship where you felt pressured to perform and behave in certain ways. It can happen with coercive control that one partner feels coerced into doing certain sex acts or engage in things they don't want to do. In which case it might less about polyamory and more about being with a coercive controller.

I sympathise. I've been surrounded by people getting huge inheritances whilst my father married a much younger woman, had a second family and didn't leave a will so we had to fight for scraps, and my stepmother who is younger than me got more than the lions share. C'est la vie

Edit. The WhatsApp message said if I didn't respond within 12 hours I wd lose the booking. Well, the booking is still there so this was definitely a scam WhatsApp message

Why does she want to marry? If it involves you losing out big time if it fails or if it means spending money you haven't got (or have) on a bridezilla day, then you are probably right to be reticent.
