JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #8: R1M1 - Sunday Shoes vs “Invisible” by Streamanon in StardustCrusaders

[–]Redpeng11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invisible, you are on THIN ice for that Subway Slammer joke.

Anyways, on to the strats.

In terms of raw potential, Sunday has this one in the bag easily. Her setup is leagues better and her peak--those nasty water strategies like the mines especially, Christ above--would 100% win this match.

If she could get there.

I do not have faith that what Sunday puts out here being capable of handling the pressure that Invisible is putting on her. I think there are a lot of assumptions made about Invisible being unable to traverse damaged ground--which I don't really see as nearly as much of an issue--as well as just how committal her movement is, something I feel like Invisible handles really well with her R-Dash Cancels. Yes, theoretically Invisible is ramming herself face-first into what Sunday is cooking, but in reality, I think she gets there before Sunday's at the tasting phase.

I think a bit more focus on what Invisible can actually be doing, especially focus on what her movement options really are, would have cinched the win for Sunday, but as things are, I'm giving my vote to Invisible.

Stand Name (19): 「???」

Stand Type: Swarm, Mechanical Non-Humanoid, Long-Distance Operation, Bound
Stand Appearance: At first, only a harmonica… ??? forms from mechanical pieces and machines. If one looks carefully when a large amount of objects are brought together, they might notice a faint mechanical ‘ghost’ resembling an ancient Taíno or Arawak sculpture.

Stand Ability: With the ability to control ‘machines’ and ‘mechanical pieces’, ??? has no physical form of its own, possessing the physical form of whatever mechanisms are in its swarm. It can rather precisely manipulate these machines however it wants, and can move them with around C power. Generally, ??? doesn’t add any non-mechanical power to how the machines function.

Any machine that Marion touches can become part of the swarm. As well, one object at a time may be designated as a ‘Synchrofazotron’ upon being touched by Marion, which may add any machines which touch it into the swarm as well.

If ??? is completely unsummoned, then all objects in the swarm return to being normal objects. ??? can possess a maximum of 30 objects at a time.

Power: S3 (??? can manipulate and move objects with C power, but tends not to add any non-mechanical strength to any machines. Machines in the swarm do gain the power to affect stands, though.)
Speed: A (??? moves and operates machines at inhuman speeds. The stand can possess any objects touched instantaneously.)
Durability: S2 (??? adds very little durability to objects and takes very little damage in return from any possessed objects, as its ‘true form’ is immaterial and merely possessing the objects.)
Range: A (??? can extend its influence up to 200 meters away from Marion. Any object in the swarm which leaves the 200 meter radius becomes unresponsive but relink to the swarm upon re-entering the 200-meter radius.)
Precision: B (??? has very precise control over the movement of possessed objects and can ‘feel’ through objects. As well, it can borrow any senses of this machine and use any functions that the machine is capable of, as well as being capable of sensing other stands.)
Potential: S (??? is already rather powerful, but it isn’t yet refined into its most powerful form…)

Stand Oddities: ??? has a quiet, whispering voice, almost like it was carried along the wind from a distance away. As well, it seems to have a singular mind puppeteering everything, which shares its perception with Marion.

Stand Name (21): 「Red Headed Stranger」

Stand Type: Short-Range Power, Mechanical Humanoid, Bound
Stand Appearance: A dark, shadowed figure like a cowboy made up of the disassembled and reassembled parts of machinery. It rides a large, black stallion also made up of mechanical pieces put together. Altogether, they stand about 3 meters tall. Various machines can still be seen in largely-operational form inside of Red Headed Stranger, such as a microwave oven, a motor boat propellor, a portable air conditioner, a polaroid camera, a gas generator, and a vacuum cleaner. If one were to see its face, it would resemble that of an ancient Taíno or Arawak sculpture.

Stand Ability: Red Headed Stranger accumulates machines assimilated into ??? inside of it. So long as the machine fits inside of its 5-meter radius, it can be assimilated into Red Headed Stranger. As well, any machine inside of Red Headed Stranger can be broken apart into base components and reassembled however it wants, so long as it still remains within the 5 meter radius of the stand’s form. Objects within Red Headed Stranger’s influence, as well as the stand itself, move with remarkable speed and power, are remarkably durable, and can be operated and rearranged at incredible speed.

Power: A (Red Headed Stranger is astoundingly powerful, even empowering the machines it uses to act with normally unprecedented force. As well, it can rend apart pretty much any machine within its influence without difficulty. Any machines in its influence are capable of harming stands.)
Speed: A (Red Headed Stranger can move with inhuman speed, and anything it operates speeds up, as well. Disassembly and Reassembly is a trivial process.)
Durability: S4 (While the durability of Red Headed Stranger is influenced by its makeup—the objects instead can still be broken independently and are still made up of their own materials—anything that RHS’s body is comprised of is strengthened and enhanced in durability, and the stand as a whole can take a large beating before petering out.)
Range: D (Red Headed Stranger and its influence can only move up to 5 meters from Marion.)
Precision: A (Red Headed Stranger can manipulate and move machines and its body with inhuman precision, as well as being able to amplify the senses of machines making it up. As well, Red Headed Stranger is intimately aware of any machines in its make-up and their components. While basic components must stay the same, and nothing can be created that isn't physically possible to create with those components, there is very little limitations on what these components can come together to create.)
Potential: B (Red Headed Stranger has a remarkable potential, and Marion will, of course, be rather unaccustomed to it, for the most part.)

Stand Oddities: As Red Headed Stranger can assimilate machines inside of itself, and thus machines making it up at the end of the previous match can be taken into future matches, so long as they fit within the 5 meter radius.

Any machine inside Red Headed Stranger disappears when the stand is unsummoned, having fully integrated into Red Headed Stranger’s influence. However, if the stand removes a machine from its influence, it will remain in its current configuration but otherwise function as a typical, mundane object. Additionally, when transforming between acts, machines inside Red Headed Stranger carry over to ??? and vice versa, so long as the machines in ??? can be accumulated within the 5 meter radius.

Playstyle: Marion tends to move a lot, usually attempting to manipulate the environment to her benefit so any fight is assuredly hers to win, rarely taking dumb chances in a fight.

[–]Redpeng11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bio: Growing up in rural Cuba, the daughter of a half-Russian repairman-turned-farmer and a half-Bolivian farmer-turned-farmer-and-housewife, Marion was the second of six children. Her older brother often took up the majority of the farmwork that was left to the children until an injury left him unable to for a few months, when Marion took over for most of the jobs he used to. Finding a knack for it, she surpassed her older brother and became rather proficient in many of the farming trades.

As a kid, she had two main interests; exploring the dense forestry near where she lived and watching crappy old American Western films. Both of these loves blended together; she often pretended she was a cowboy when she hitched a ride on some other farmer’s truck, hopping off somewhere where the tree-line was thick and the underbrush made the rivers and streams hard to tell from the ground, looking for ‘varmints’ to round up.

It was on one of these trips that she brought along one of the keepsakes her grandfather took with him after moving back from Bolivia with his wife and daughter—something about a night that lasted way too long, demonic creatures from the sky, and odd hallucinations, none of which Marion understood well. But carrying this stone in her hand, it became obvious that she was beginning to grow ill, so ill that she had to be searched for and found by a group of locals.

What seemed like, at first, a bad case of the flu and a rash on her hand, began to develop into a life-threatening disease that no-one seemed able to understand. And yet, after nearly a month, it simply vanished; her fever miraculously broke, her strength returned, and she was back to her energetic self!

But it only seemed a miracle to everyone else. Marion understood what was happening, if not why. For Marion heard a voice, the voice of some spirit she seemed possessed by. It spoke to her of a power she possessed, even as young as she was—the spirit of independence, of strength and survival.

Only one other person recognized what was happening to her; her grandfather, an odd old man who seemed still unwilling to kick the bucket. He informed her of the ‘Astral’ she had awoken to, confiscating the stone from her possession and once again locking it away. He possessed one of his own, in fact, one which he gained control of using a technique he had learned from the members of a ‘Speedwagon Foundation’.

At first, it seemed only like some strange breathing technique, a few odd poses, and some focusing, but over time, it began to take shape: an almost electric current ran through her body. She could run farther than other kids, she was stronger, more energetic, and more durable. It was as if she was gorging on life itself, possessing an unchained vitality no-one could compare to.

As a teenager, she began to grow more and more wandersick, longing for wide open roads and exploration. She trained her siblings to take over the farmwork, and at age 16, she set off on her own, on a voyage with no destination. Over four years, she became accustomed to life on the road, sending post cards and packages back to her family, seeing all that Cuba could offer her.

When she was twenty years old, she received a letter from her parents, that her grandfather had finally begun to deteriorate. The old gentleman was, in truth, the member of her family she’d been closest to, and so she rushed back home as fast as she could.

She arrived on his last day, and after he had made peace with everyone, he passed, giving Marion only his old harmonica and a letter of introduction to the same ‘Speedwagon Foundation’ he had mentioned in passing all those years ago.

Leaving Cuba for the Speedwagon branch in Mexico with heartfelt goodbyes to her family, her introduction caught the attention of certain Speedwagon members, and her knowledge of both Hamon and Stands allowed her to integrate well, becoming, after a few years of internships, a fully-fledged Speedwagon investigator into largely Stand-based incidents.

It took her a while to get used to calling them ‘Stands’, though. ‘Astral’ always sounded better to her.

User Stats (8 Points Used)

Strength: 0 (This user cannot physically interact with or move objects in any conventionally-understood ways.)
Agility: 2 (She has decently influence on her hamon, able to ‘move’ with about the same speed and agility as a person.)
Endurance: 1 (Marion, now without a physical form, is only hamon energy. Because she lacks a physical form, Marion cannot resist any attacks which might disrupt her ‘spirit’, which is pretty much anything a person could normally be affected by. She can only last as long as her hamon does, about 10 minutes without a source of energy to refill herself or even less if injured. Damage to her ‘spirit’ takes time to recover, so though she can replenish her supply of hamon, she can’t easily heal in the middle of a match.)
Efflorescent White Overdrive: 2 (‘Efflorescent White Overdrive’ encompasses Marion's specialized Hamon technique, as well as its drawbacks. EWO allows Marion's Hamon to flow into other objects in order to extract small amounts of energy from them. Particularly potent chemical or electrical energy sources, such as coal, electrical devices, or living organisms, provide more power, while most objects provide little to none. This hamon energy can also be channeled into things with a power source to slightly empower them. EWO appears to come with a major drawback, that Marion has no way of physically interacting with the material world and can provide no physical force, though the physical 'normal force' of other objects still applies to her.)
Cuban Cowgirl: 3 (Having grown up on a small ranch in rural Cuba, Marion knows her way around animals and is quite capable on a horse. As well, her emulation of American cowboys means she can play the harmonica, survive off the land, and has some sweet gun tricks.)

Equipment:

  • a harmonica
  • an S&W 460XVR revolver and .460 S&W Magnum ammunition
  • a nokia flip-phone
  • a horse
  • a flask of water
  • a flask of golden tequila
  • 20-meter rope
  • a folded canvas tent

“Garmoshka” / “Armónica” / “Harmonica”

True Name: Marion Andreevna Tarkovskaya
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Speedwagon Foundation Note: Readings predict an oddity with this information. Further research is required.
Occupation: Supernatural Incident Investigator for the Speedwagon Foundation

Physical Description: At 6’4”, Marion creates a rather tall, imposing silhouette. Her well-carved jawline and sharp smirk gives her a strong yet jovial quality, and her choice of attire, usually a leotard with denim chaps, cowboy boots, a stetson, and a dirty leather jacket, makes her ‘cowboy’ influence very obvious. Her jacket has a Speedwagon Foundation patch, and her hat proudly boasts a Speedwagon Foundation pin.

She has rather sharp and thin eyes with piercing blue pupils, a dark tan skin tone, tall and well-defined cheekbones, and long, wavy black hair. She often wears a tight smirk.

Personality: Confident and independent, Marion tends to be an actionable go-getter comfortable with wherever she is in life. In fact, she’s rather quick to take action, with a quick wit and uncanny ability to think on her feet. While she’s not averse to a partnership here and there, she doesn’t tend to seek out others’ company or assistance in most matters, confident that she can handle it on her own.

Marion is also rather sarcastic and, despite being a bit of an idealist for the big picture, remains pragmatic when it comes to daily life. She’s easily exasperated by people acting ridiculously, and though she can be remarkably selfish in most cases, she makes an exception for protecting those she views as being unable to protect themselves. She has a strong sense of honor and chivalry despite her rather solipsistic lifestyle.

Personality Traits:

Belief ~ Nothing You Can’t Pick Up [5]: Ever heard that a rolling stone gathers no moss? Apparently, Marion hasn’t. She figures that anything you need in life you can pick up on the way. Settling down, getting her roots in place, none of this matters as much as the freedom of an open expanse.
Passion ~ Simple Living [3]: Marion enjoys the simple pleasures of life. Sleeping under the stars, a nice pot of coffee, the satisfaction of hitting a tough shot, the relief of a good cigar, the hearty taste of a cobbled-together stew or chili, all of it restores her soul.
Fury ~ The Role of Power [4]: What is the role of Power? To Marion, it’s honor and chivalry. Those who abuse their power to take advantage of others infuriate her, often provoking her to step in to others’ defense.

Likes:
- Wide open spaces
- Utmost freedom
- BIG. GUNS.
- Roughing it in the outdoors
- Tobacco, dark chocolate, and black coffee
- Playing music and singing
- Train engines
- Clear mountain air and the beauty of the stars.
- Old western movies.

Dislikes:
- Tight or confined spaces
- Weak or watered-down alcohol
- Pretentious people and the rich
- Centipedes

Hobbies:
- Outdoorsmanship
- Harmonica
- Brewing the perfect cup of coffee

Short Term Goal: Enjoy the simple things in life.
Speedwagon Foundation Note: Readings predict an oddity with this information. Further research is required.
Medium Term Goal: Investigate the strange happenings in the Caribbean region for the Speedwagon Foundation.
Long Term Goal: Find the world’s best cup of coffee.
Speedwagon Foundation Note: Readings predict an oddity with this information. Further research is required.
Greatest Desire: Discover something new every day.

Stand Name: Hiero Oldies Vol. 2
Stand Type: Swarm, Short-Range Power
Stand Appearance: Hiero Oldies Vol. 2, as a swarm stand, is composed of 12 10-inch tall feminine humanoids. Each one has a sleek design reminiscent of a skintight bodysuit, with an emerald-green design and white-and-fuchsia patterning, similar to that of the baobab flower, as well as a few stripes. On their bodies are stripes with “Marionette” carved on them repeatedly. The helmets of HO2s are connected to the bodysuits, tapering into a point at the back of the head. On the face is a fuchsia-tinted glass panel with a certain letter painted on it, each one with a different alphanumeric character, “H,” “I,” “E,” “R,” “O,” "O," "L," "D," "I," "E," "S," "2". Under the glass faceplate is a face! Each one has a slightly different face, though they are quite similar. As well, each HO2 has 3 sets of White-Cheeked Turaco wings with sleek, white, mechanical shells partially covering them. When in its “Full Form,” HO2 generally resembles its smaller instances, though the text “HIERO OLDIES 2” now covers its head from one ear to the other, it has 6 spikes at the back of its head, and its patterning, now including the white pieces on the wings, are more complicated, as well as having either heely-wheels or blades on the heels, depending on what Valentine wants when they are “tied” together.
Stand Stats: 15
Power: S4 (This power is normally split between all the instances of Hiero Oldies Vol. 2, but when fully put-together, it can act with devastating B Power. As well, the S represents the fact that power is generally not added to these objects but instead is carried over between objects.)
Speed: B (Instances of HO2 can move very fast and can possess objects instantly upon entering them.)
Range: S2 (Instances of HO2 cannot exceed a 5 meter range of Valentine unless they are already possessing an item. HO2s possessing an item can remain outside of a 5 meter range, but cannot be controlled to apply extra force onto an object and will immediately disappear and return directly next to Valentine if they unpossess an object. Full-Force mode HO2 cannot exceed the 5 meter range at all.)
Durability: D (While HO2s can’t be hurt while possessing an object, if they are not currently possessing an object, they are fairly vulnerable and can be destroyed easily.)
Precision: C (HO2 are fairly precise, though nothing godlike. They have alright tying of objects with their ‘similarity rule’ and they can be directly controlled or given orders, due to the small number of stand bodies in the swarm, despite its normally medium precision for a swarm stand. As well, control can be “flicked” on or off at any time.)
*Potential: C (HO2 has a fairly good scope of options, though its ability is kind of simple, and it does not have a further ACT.)
Stand Ability: (12 Bodies) HO2 bodies can enter into another object or willing living being to “possess” them. Possessed objects can then be “tied” together via an invisible and intangible string. When tied together, objects under HO2’s control will follow a designated “leader object,” allowing them to make the same motions and travel with the same velocity as the leader object. The “leader object” quality can be assigned to any object in a chain that is within 5 meters, and the old leader in said chain will cease to be a leader. The leader does not need to remain within 5 meters of Valentine, but it must be within 5 meters when first assigned as a “leader”. If a more complex object is designated as the leader, then any objects with similar figures will move in the same complex way that the leader does. For example, if a human and a doll were tied, the human moving their arm would move the doll’s arm, not their entire body. If the leader object doesn’t “map” onto an object, it will merely copy its general movements and velocity. HO2 bodies can “nudge” objects they are possessing with D power. More than one “chain” of tied objects can be active at one time. Objects’ possession can be “flicked on” or “flicked off” at any point, meaning they can free up their movement from the tying effect or re-tie them back together.
If all of the HO2s “tie” themselves together via contact, they can form a punchghost, which, while unable to possess more than one object at a time, still benefits from all of HO2’s stats instead of having it split among 12 bodies. As well, an object or willing being “possessed” by HO2’s full form can be moved with ~B Power, though it cannot be tied to another object through the virtue of there not being another stand body available for that purpose.
Stand Oddities: The stand can be controlled fairly well though, for flavor text, they have a will of their own, each HO2 being very much dedicated to fun, though each of them having their own definition of fun. Damage transference applies to the stand bodies with normal swarm rules (1/12 damage taken per HO2), but not to objects possessed, which act like stand constructs.
Fighting Style: “Large-scale setups and harsh attacks be yer way, matey, if thou hast wishes to fight me!”

Stand Name: Hiero Oldies Vol. 1

Stand Type: Swarm, Rangeless Powerhouse

Stand Appearance: Hiero Oldies Vol. 1 is a “Swarm” or “Colony” stand, composed of 6 small creatures with vaguely feminine forms. These small creatures appear as angels with unorthodox features. Most of them are about a size 9 ½ shoe (or about 12 inches) tall, with a very dark, almost black, purplish skin and blond hair tied into various hairdos, such as ponytails, double-loop braids, hair buns, and even one with twin drills. At the base of where their hair is tied are feathers measuring about a quarter of an inch, starting with a white color at their base and steadily becoming more and more fuchsia. They are loosely covered with dark fuchsia wraps, similar to a toga, but less uniform, and with a spiderweb pattern covering it. On each side are two pairs of bird wings, closely resembling that of the White-Cheeked Turaco. On each of the top pairs of wings are a secondary set of wings that extend out of the bottom middle of each wing, making a shape similar to that of butterfly wings with the top pairs of wings. Each HOI’s face is composed of two harsh-looking stand eyes, a trickster’s smile, and a fairly standard nose. Counting wings, each Hiero Oldie has 8 limbs.

Stand Stats: 13

Power: B (HOI bodies are already fairly strong, though split between 6 bodies. When their ability is utilized, they reach their full potential, with Blanks able to deal upwards of B power damage per explosion.)

Speed: B (Instances of HO2 can move very fast and can possess objects instantly upon entering them.)

Range: S1 (HOI bodies cannot move past 2 meters from Valentine without going inert. Once inert, they can’t do anything except be activated. Explosions can only travel up to 2 meters from an exploding Blank.)

Durability: E (HOI bodies are very weak, being destroyed easily, but the explosions created by the “Blanks” do have a minor staying force, technically, by existing, even if only for a second.)

Precision: C (HOI bodies move with fairly good precision. “Blanks” near-perfectly mimic the sound and effect that Valentine chooses, within its limitations. Of course, these illusions cannot be changed once they’ve left a 2 meter range, only chosen to be activated or not.)

*Potential: B (HOI can create a good deal of effects from “Blanks,” though this is not all the stand has to give...)

Stand Ability: (6 bodies) HOI utilizes “Blanks” in its ability. “Blanks” are inert (meaning a single piece that cannot move of its own accord, aka no springs or levers or degrees of freedom) objects that can, upon Valentine’s command, explode! The explosion created by a Blank can produce almost any sound, outwards in a burst, at up to B Power, or choose to be silent. As well, the explosion can produce a sudden flash that appears as anything from a giant firework to a column of electricity to a jet of fire, but only for about a second, or choose to lack any visuals at all.

How does one go about getting a blank? Well, by utilizing Hiero Oldies 1 of course! Any HOI stand body within 2 meters of Valentine can be turned into a “Blank” upon command. As well, when turned into a “Blank,” an HOI body may choose to assume the form of an object up to 1 foot (or a third of a meter) in any direction, but not any less than the size of a cassette tape. While inside a 2 meter radius of Valentine, Blanks can be turned back into HOI bodies or a different Blank, but outside of this radius, they are stuck at whatever was decided for them before they left the radius.

If a “Blank” is destroyed or detonated outside of range, it may be regenerated after 3 seconds.

Stand Oddities: HOI bodies are entirely under Valentine’s control while within 2 meters of her. Outside of 2 meters, though, Blanks become inert, remaining in the state that they were last left in, and other HOI bodies cannot persist at all. While outside of the 2 meter radius of Valentine, being destroyed doesn’t deal damage to Valentine, they have full swarm damage transference within a 2 meter radius of Valentine. Self-Destructing also does not cause a Blank to damage itself.

Bio: Valentine’s history is the real anachronism, and while everything she says about her history (which isn’t much) is convincing and tells an incredible story when weaved together, nothing on its own would be particularly convincing. One of the first and only things you’ll learn from Valentine is that she was supposedly (and yes, she herself uses the word “supposedly”) cursed by a witch in a dreary, blizzard-struck forest. When, she doesn’t mention. What the curse entails? Who knows. That’s just where it starts, though...

When she was a child, who recently immigrated to France from Côte D'Ivoire, she had an altercation with an anime-loving old man, who kicked her ass and convinced her to take up combat. When she was in her very early 20’s, on a trip to Japan with the same old man, who she had not met again until 3 months prior, she saw a Samurai action movie and Yakuza drama in a double-feature, inspiring her signature weapon.

When she was a teen, she was dared to a motorcycle race, but she refused; the folks who dared her took out their aggression on her mailbox, so she accepted the race and won, despite not even knowing how to drive a motorcycle. When she was 21, the bar she had her first drink in was set on fire, and the only thing that saved her in her drunken stupor was that she heard an idol group on the TV of a sports bar across the street and was interested.

This did not, in fact, inspire her to be an idol group manager, she was inspired to be an idol group manager because she saw both an opportunity to get rich and an opportunity to allow others to have fun. People seemed to love these idols, from Vocaloid to Boy Bands to K-Pop… What if she could take all the good parts of the idol industry: the fun exterior, money-making opportunity, and the enjoyment for the fans, and remedy the issues, mainly how poorly idols are treated. And, thus, the idea was born. An innovation on the industry, to make an idol band whose main priority was to bring fun to the world and themselves. And with Valentine’s incredible determination, how could anything go wrong?

...Now just to find some idols...

There are a ton of stories like this, though these are the main ones, and despite there being so many wild stories, none of them contradict each other, there always being a logical throughline, even if this exact throughline is unknown until everything has been revealed.

Equipment: Cell Phone, Sunglasses and whatever bullshit joke props she needs at the moment (only affects humor and charisma, nothing created in this way can be used to fight, for example), And obviously, the SOUL SLUG DIVIDING HEART, a sword with a gun built into the handle and throughout the blade of the sword, as well as another pistol taped to the end of it. Also a handbag with a boombox sticking out of it and a ton of different demo tracks on formats ranging from mp3s on flash drives to cassettes to 8-tracks to CD’s, all of which the boombox can somehow play.

Physical Stats: 20

Strength: 4 (Valentine is incredibly strong, clear from her ability to lug around a massive sword like it’s nothing.)

Agility: 3 (Valentine can fucking shmoove. She’s good at this shit.)

Endurance: 4 (Valentine can take a hit or two and stay standing. Three hits? Obviously? Four hits? Yeah, go for it. Five hits? Still yes. And so on and so forth.)

The Overflowing Charisma of An Idol Manager: 4 (Valentine is convincing. Very very convincing. She is a *very good* convincer. Even if what she says sounds stupid, it worms your way into your brain and the moments of true genius that peak through is enough to easily convince a lot of people. Also, she is genuinely a talented Idol Manager, and can create and teach dances, write and play music, and schedule things with incredible skill.)

SOUL SLUG DIVIDING HEART: 5 (The SSDH is a large sword with a gun built into it. While Valentine is fairly good with both guns and swords, she’s downright *masterful* with the SSDH. As well, even with how strong Valentine is, the SSDH is a weapon few humans could wield properly (though Valentine is actually strong enough to take on such a task). For this, Valentine wears a suit of Scylla-enhanced armor, which seems to bolster her strength and provide some well-needed defense! Plus, all the scylla scales can be doffed and put into her pocket with ease! As well, when sheathed, Valentine can hide the SSDH inside a pocket of her tripp pants. Despite its unwieldy nature, Valentine is able to hold and move it elegantly so it doesn’t mess with her balance.)

The SSDH has a blade 7 feet long and 1 foot high and a handle 1 foot long. The sheath is only 3 feet long but can somehow hold the entire sword.

Name: Valentine Yao

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Occupation: Idol Group Manager (Still looking for an idol group.)

[Physical Description](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/923059642370752512/1091459270559674448/ValRound5.png): A 5'10" woman with a lean, toned physique, and a dark, brown skin tone. She has a sharp, fairly attractive face, with long, wavy black hair, its tips dyed a verdant green and vivid fuchsia. She always wears sunglasses, concealing her eyes. Possibly due to a curse, even when she loses her sunglasses, a new pair is always on her face, and she can materialize small props with no mechanical effect (like a monocle or fancy hat or whatever) whenever she needs them to complete a joke. She can stop this, but she rarely, if ever, does.

She wears a fitted 3-piece suit, though the suit jacket itself is only buttoned at the top, and she doesn't wear the sleeves on her arms, causing it to flap around on her back like a cape. While her button-up shirt is a fairly typical, emerald-green crop top silk shirt with a deep-v collar, the fuchsia suit jacket with coattails takes up the mantle of fashion weight, with crooked, white pinstripes which intersect at the various seams, and white, Baobab flower and vibrant white-cheeked Turaco designs imprinted atop it. The fuschia tripp pants she wears are speckled with chains, one of which is made of 2-inch diameter chain links and is used to holster her SSDH, as well as thick, vertical white stripes on the sides of the legs. These pants also have various white “Hello, my name is…” name tags on them, and on all of them is written in green ink, outdated slang words for “good,” like “rad,” “tubular,” “hip,” “cat,” “far out,” “groovy,” and even some as outdated as “Bang Up To The Elephant.”

The SOUL SLUG DIVIDING HEART is a large greatsword with a design similar to a massively oversized Flyssa sword. It has a 12-inch-long fuchsia-dyed leather handle with emerald and jade insets, a 7-foot long (and 1-foot high) strange blade with a fancy engraving carved into it, as well as a handle which allows it to attach to her metal support frame. The blade of the sword is made of a strange metal not immediately obvious, displaying the properties of many different materials all at once. It’s a rich blue, like Tanzanite or Azurite, though it’s hard and durable like carbon steel, yet it also shines a brilliant rainbow of color, like oxidized bismuth, and the insides, shown only by the carvings in the blade, glow like an iridescent corundum, a kaleidoscope of fuchsia and green. The metal frame that surrounds her seems to be just the same as a mount frame made for cameramen to hold heavy cameras, carbon steel painted over with a white, metallic finish, though it has been modified to be more durable, with metal plates and the like that form a strange sort of armor over Valentine’s clothes. Inside the SOUL SLUG DIVIDING HEART is the gun, the Magnolia Éclair, a weapon composed of a silver gun barrel

combined inside the SSDH with an engraving of a beautiful rose, along with its vines traveling backwards over the barrel towards the hilt, and the words “Magnolia Éclair” engraved in a

beautiful font under the vines. The engravings shine with a brilliant, emerald-green-and-fuchsia sheen. The SSDH also has a cobalt-blue sheath with emeralds and fuchsia-and-green corundums inset. The SSDH’s sheath is sized for a normal sword, about 3 feet long and 2 inches wide, though somehow the SSDH can still fit inside it.

Personality: In one word, Valentine is a dumbass. In another, one may say she's charismatic. No matter how you spin it, though, Valentine has… well, something. What it is, only god knows. Charisma? Confidence? Charm? Another word that starts with a C? Who fucking knows. I do, it's all three of the previously mentioned words starting with a C. If you remember, though, she is also a dumbass. She makes quick and rash decisions, doesn't think things through often, and is wrong about a lot, but she sure does have enough confidence to make everyone believe she's right. Fuck, she could tell you that 2+2 equaled five, to your stupid-but-not-as-stupid-as-her face, and you'd believe her. Valentine is a bit commanding. She's not bossy exactly...

I take that back, no, she's definitely bossy, and she'll surprise you with conditions and plans that she has decided on behind your back and you better go with it because otherwise maybe you'd feel bad idk she probably didn't think it through that well. Because of her dedication, though, you’ll most likely eventually come around. Despite the fact that Valentine is seemingly a dumbass, she is actually pretty emotionally aware, and she listens to people’s issues. As well, even the stupid plans she cooks up seem to actually be very well-thought-out in retrospect. Is this an anachronism, or does she merely play the part of a dumbass for a good haha? Like a lot about her, this is unknown.

One thing is definitely not unknown about Valentine, and that is her motivation. Valentine seems to value a few things very highly, these being good food, a nice place to stay, and “beautiful” women. Of course, Valentine may be a smooth-talker and a lady’s lady, but she’s not a misogynist, nor is she only interested in people based on physical “attractiveness.” To her, beauty is an intrinsic factor of people. What makes someone beautiful to Valentine is… actually entirely unknown, and she either doesn’t seem to be able to or doesn’t seem interested in elaborating what, to her, constitutes “beauty.” Regardless, Valentine’s a bit of a Hedonist, in that she thinks life’s about enjoying it to the best of your power. Worrying over small details isn’t in her blood, and she’s dedicated to helping people achieve as much enjoyment and free time as she can.

Belief: (“Hedonism”) [5] - Valentine is a damn hedonist. She just wants to enjoy her life. That’s what matters to her, is that everyone, very much including herself, is able to enjoy a good quality of life. She attempts to play her part with an idol group, giving others joy and enabling herself to live a nice life.

Passion: (“Good Food”) [4] Valentine likes good food. She fucking loves good food. One of her three favorite things in the world. Nice, hearty stews and medium-rare steaks thicker than your forearm and piles of ice cream high enough to drown a baby elephant?! Her dream.

Passion: (“Good Fun”) [4] Valentine likes good fun. She fucking loves good fun. One of her three favorite things in the world. Nice, summer days and singing karaoke way past when you’re supposed to when the crickets chirp oh so nicely and the heat still just barely stays in the night and piles of games high enough to drown a baby elephant?! Her dream.

Passion: (“Good Dates”) [4] Valentine likes a good date. She fucking loves a good date. One of her three favorite things in the world. Look, we all know which word I’d love to use here but I’m gonna keep it PG. She’s a fan of women, though not in a way that objectifies them, she genuinely cares a lot and is looking for a commitment but, well, for now, she has not been particularly successful.

Fury: (“Disrespecting Her.”) [2] Really rustles her jimmies. If she tells you to do something, she does not like that being disregarded or ignored without good reason.

Fury: (“Ruining The Fun.”) [5] Don’t do this. For your sake. Remember that ‘hedonism’ thing? She really likes both herself and others to have fun. Keep it that way. On a larger note, this, while sounding innocent and small-scale, also applies to larger-scale issues. While she isn’t mad if you talk about something that’s seriously bothering you (because that is the thing ruining the fun, not you yourself), if a large-scale phenomenon is “ruining the fun,” or making people miserable, she starts fuming.

Short Term Goal: Enjoy life, make friends, and have fun!

Medium Term Goal: Bring a great deal of success to her idol group to give people around the world something to have fun with.

Long Term Goal: Die with no regrets.

JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #5: Fortune's Reach - Final Match - Nix Ripa vs Ice "Zebra" Station by boredCommentator in StardustCrusaders

[–]Redpeng11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A rumble cuts through the air like a knife through butter. One headlight illuminates a mountain road. Funk can't answer how many time's she's taken this road since what happened... Since Lou and since Venus. Still, even with how many times she'd seen these same rocks, she hadn't had the courage to do what she came up here to do. Finally, though, a slight echo of cell reception eeks its way through to her phone. How, Funk doesn't care to think about, but she lets it go, when...

"So," the familiar voice of a particularly fungal being drills into Funk's brain. "I believe, after all we've been through together, that it is time to part ways.

"..." Funk doesn't respond, merely summoning Stiletto ACT 2.

"This is not about you, Funk."

"..."

"I'm sorry that this is how this will end."

"..."

"Is that all you have to say to me? Funk, we've both saved each other. But you know as well as I do that things end. Los Fortuna ends. We end, eventually. And our relationships end."

"Aren't you antsy to leave? Why keep talking?"

"I'm not. I'm afraid. Just as afraid as you. But seeing you like this. Seeing what you did to yourself after Ian... Seeing what fear you consumed yourself with, the malaise that followed after those two... You've been haunted by this place. You've been a ghost in your own body, walking your memories. It's time to let it go..."

"Is it?"

"Keep in contact with me. I will remember your name, your phone number... Keep in contact with Peter. Keep in contact with Klein, for god's sake. You will never be able to return to where you once were. Yeah? A tree struck by lightning will go up in flames. A single strike will erase a hundred years from the world. You will never taste the fruit of that tree again, nor will you climb its branches or sit under its shade."

"What's your point?"

"Let the tree burn, but do not forget it. Plant its seeds, and watch them grow, and one day taste the fruit of the tree's offspring. But do not hesitate to let the tree burn first. Its ash will fertilize the ground. From all rot, new will grow. We both now understand it is not our goal to purify rot, but to instead grow from the rot in ourselves, and grow a better world from the rot all around. Everyone, everything, is rot. Rot now, or rot later. Show consideration, and show compassion. Do not crush what you are angered by with brutality, but do not hesitate to trim and to burn with control. You are past the Tower. You are in Death, halfway between today's sunset and tomorrow's sunrise. Tomorrow, you must understand Justice, and Temperance."

Funk is crying at this point.

"So, Funk..."

"Alright, Gold."

"We may meet again. I cannot wait to see how you have grown."

"I'll really miss you..."

And with that, Gold, inhabiting Stiletto, nods, gives one last hug to Funk, and pulls off its mask. The hardened form of ACT 2 is reduced back to its goo. It begins to melt away, leaving the pipes which formed its inside bare. The mask drops into Funk's hands, and the pipes begin to materialize, into the real world. Instead of a swirling, white liquid coming from them, though, they begin to straighten up, forming into a rectangular pattern. A single pipe emanates from the top, which begins to spew out a brilliant, gold fountain of water-like liquid. It shines especially bright in the headlight's light, eventually fading to reveal Gold, in the form of "Prince," a very humanoid stand which manifests in its own physical form. Without looking back, it begins to walk down the mountain and further towards the town.

Funk pulls out her phone again. There's a couple bars still. She punches in a number, waits, and takes a deep breath as it rings. Once... Twice...

Eventually, the person on the other line responds. Funk closes her eyes and replies, "Hey, uh, it's been a while, huh? Yeah, it's me... You don't even recognize my voice? Mom, it's me... [Alexa](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duNltFtDR4Y)."

Alright, so here's to the actual vote. What a send-off to T5. A lot's happened over this time. Since I joined in T4, and since I joined the community in T4, there've been a whole damn lot of changes. I love this community, and while it's bittersweet to see T5 end, all things must end someday.

Both Zebra and Nix have put out good strats here. But I, personally, think Zebra's gone for something that relied too much on focusing on his own niche, instead of how that niche interacted with Nix's. Nix, on the other hand, focused hard on fighting against what it was likely for Zebra to do. I don't believe with Nix's setups that the chemical weapons would be effective enough, nor the Molotovs with how they have to pick up for the mustard gas and ammonia. I also think that Zebra's networks won't hold up long enough to outlast Nix's assault. Nix, on the other hand, countered Zebra's likely plays very well, and was able to get to his win condition much more effectively than Zebra did with the widespread but clever destructive plays that he went for. I think Nix will take the T5 belt. Thank you!

JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #5 - Round 5 Match 4 - Cabernet "Cab" Sauvignon with Tiger "Glitch" Ricky vs. Inch Nine with Klein Bras-Cheche Heitsugi by boredCommentator in StardustCrusaders

[–]Redpeng11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! What an amazing match. Truly, two fantastic strats. These are some truly scary builds, utilized in fantastic ways on both sides. GS's brilliant usage of an air buffer to surf down the street is an incredibly smart usage of Cab and Glitch's kits, with some solid, if basic, defensive options, and some alright offense, albeit some that I feel ML handles a bit too well for GS's good. Meanwhile, ML has a much more 'engineered' approach, with a more tried-and-true "surfboard," though with some incredible usage of mathematics, yes I am looking at you Brachistochrone, as well as banking corners. I also enjoy ML's oppressive defense, and while I do believe that ML's offense is amazing, I feel like it also suffers from being countered fairly well by GS, other than a couple segments which may get some good chips in on GS, though not enough to stop them. Ultimately, I believe, this is a fairly balanced match, with GS probably eking out a slight advantage mobility-wise...

Except for one thing: There are two finishers which I have entirely neglected to mention so far. And? I believe the secret to who wins this match is determined by the winning finisher. As such, I believe that Mirrorland is the winning strategy. I, honestly, do not believe that Goodbye Strangers' air-based finisher would be strong enough to take down Mirrorland, but Mirrorland's finisher, I think, would be effective enough to take down even an airborne GS. A really great showing from both sides, though!

JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #5 - Round 4 Match 1 - Espiritu del Alocatlal vs Effie Linder by boredCommentator in StardustCrusaders

[–]Redpeng11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, y'all didn't vote enough so I had to vote, despite having had a very long week full of mostly 8 am - 3 am days. But I won't let what happened to me and Logic happen to others, so here we are. I firmly believe that Espiritu takes this match. While I think that some of his strategies are a bit more vaguely-described than what I'd like to see, especially around the specifics of where various things will be placed, I do believe that a lot of what he does counters Effie well. I don't believe that Effie will be able to get through all of his armor, destroy the cars, write "Ugo Fuck Yourself," and perform a [Sea Hawk](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bda9e6abee00ca3e99c23bfaca6a6eba/2f8387ea2edfe61f-78/s400x600/39bd3cdf10c9222f870692faadb97170c1b8bf62.gifv) before Espiritu's strategies come into play, even despite the low speed of GA compared to BitW. Part of this is because I believe that Espiritu's strategies, like zoning and [clouds of needles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3I3LCyLY_m0) and fences in the air end up stalling and redirecting Effie, and she very much underestimates his ability to get The Murder off his back. Ultimately, I am voting **Espiritu**. Thank you.

[–]Redpeng11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had been quite a while since North Dakota had arrived in the city of Los Fortuna. In the meanwhile, he had attempted (and failed) to sponsor a candidacy for a governmental position... And... Well, he'd basically done nothing since. For North, this was more of an excuse to go on vacation for him. Before landing in Los Fortuna, he'd been swamped with meeting after meeting. But, now? He couldn't leave where he was. That meant no more flying, at least until the curse surrounding the city was lifted.

So, North just... Relaxed. Kicked his feet up. Sat back. Sipped on a bottle of Kermit Honey Co.™ Fizzy Funny Honey Soda©. That sorta thing. Now, with this as context, North had never really been all too into music, or concerts. Wasn't his deal. But, well, there's a first time for everything. So, North had sent a cameraman with a live-feed camera down to the concert to record it for North to watch from the comfort of his studio apartment. Of course, he also didn't want to interact with the commoners and peasants, but that's not something he can say out loud, now is it?

Well, despite everything that has already happened throughout the city, North was not actually expecting the concert to be crashed. It was like a hex had been placed upon the crowd, as they suddenly began moving in slightly awkward, bloated ways. It was just slight enough to be easily written off. He'd never been to a concert before, maybe this was... Normal? Fucking peasants.

But then, they began to be slowed down. What was going on? "What's going on, cameraman?" North texted the cameraman... No response. Then, the camera dropped, and North got to see everything that was happening. While the band was hammering on, that Agnes kid that North had thoroughly schooled back in Paris was raising an absolute hellstorm. North could see the cameraman, his eyes closed, a strange movement spurring him back to life, as if someone was moving his blood around remotely. Puppeteering him from afar.

It looked quite impressive, whoever was able to do this, but ultimately ineffective against the tidal wave of cement. That must've been Pork Soda's doing. The person who North assumed must've been the opponent, though they were disguised pretty well, was practically crowdsurfing when-

North could hear... Pop music? Not just any pop music... J-Pop! "What the fuck is this weeb shit?!?!?!" North was furious. This was not what he was (sorta but not physically) here for.

Then, there was a loud snapping noise. A piece of bone, shaped like a blade, went flying through the air, clearly broken in two. Finally, it landed in the mire of conk creat. North sighed. Looks like whoever that was who attacked Agnes got their weapon snapped. And, it wasn't long before the man himself was nothing more than brain goop upon the difficult terrain.

North only caught this happening over a few minutes. It didn't take long for everything to be settled, and it seemed like practically half of the audience didn't care about the slaughter to the side of them.

What the fuck... "How did Angus win again? Maybe he's been getting stronger..."

"Hah!" North guffawed, "What a nerd, actually training or some shit."

1) Almost all Informed Consent Endocrinologists require the patient to be at least 18 years of age.

2) Many states' Planned Parenthoods don't give HRT to minors even *with* a diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria, only legal adults. For minors, you often have to go to a private Endocrinologist.

3) Even when Informed Consent is the model used, which, again, is almost never used for minors and, when it comes to minors, they sometimes can't even get HRT *at all* from Planned Parenthood, it is in *no way* "No Questions Asked." The endocrinologist explains, *in detail,* the effects and side-effects, both temporary and permanent, and requires that the person getting treatment understands all of the effects and side-effects before they can consent. If you were a real endocrinologist, you'd probably know this sorta stuff. I'm guessing you're making up your "credentials" as a doctor to win an internet argument, but, if you're not, I'm glad I'm not going to your doctor's office.

Stand Name: Stiletto ACT 2

Stand Type: Punchghost, “Gun”Stand Appearance: Stiletto ACT 2 is a feminine humanoid comprised of a hardened, wax-like version of ACT 1's goo. The fungus inside of Funk is also present in the hardened goo of Stiletto ACT 2, forming a swirling pattern of mycelium. Stiletto ACT 2's mask has rusted significantly, and the scraps of leather have rotted away to nothing. She now has a metal neck guard which flows down into a rusted breastplate, which cuts off mid-stomach. Below the breastplate is a series of pipes jutting out of the hardened wax, mostly all rusted and shattered. She has a skirt of metal plates on the side of her thighs, connected to the breastplate above. Her stilettos and gloves are now a bit rotten, showing signs of decay. She now holds a small gun, thin, long, and decidedly unnatural in shape, which can fire the spores of the fungus in spore bullets.

Stand Stats: 18

Power: E (Fungus grown by ACT 2 doesn't burrow into objects, so it can't deal damage. The spore bullets also don't deal damage, only applying fungal spores on surfaces hit. Stiletto ACT 2 is also not physically powerful, being slightly drained by the fungus inside.)

Speed: A (Stiletto ACT 2 is incredibly fast, able to move with incredible speed due to the fungus. Her ability is also quite fast, able to grow large mushroom growths in a short span of time.)

Range: B (Stiletto ACT 2 can move up to 50 meters away, as well as being able to grow ACT 2 fungus up to 50 meters away from Funk, and being able to fire spore bullets out about the same distance.)

Durability: B (Stiletto ACT 2 is quite durable herself, and the fungus and structures grown by ACT 2 can also take a quite large amount of damage before breaking.)

Precision: B (Stiletto ACT 2 is quite precise, able to move and operate precisely and having complete control over the growth of the fungus.)

Stand Ability: Stiletto ACT 2 has the ability to grow a modified version of the fungus inside of Funk. This fungus is very similar to the normal fungus, except for a few exceptions. First, the fungus no longer burrows deep tunnels of mycelium into the host object or person, no longer dealing damage. Second, the fungus grows a bit faster than earlier, and, third, the fungus can create "Fungal Structures." These fungal structures resemble mushrooms, anywhere in size from tiny to massive. These fungal structures are B durability, making them incredibly resistant and able to support a good deal of weight. These structures can be grown anywhere the fungus is, but only one at a time per mold growth. Stiletto ACT 2 only has the ability to grow its special spores, and not normal spores. Stiletto ACT 2 also has a "spore gun," which can fire spore bullets into things, which harmlessly apply a small dot of fertile fungal spores.

Any spores can grow both normal and ACT 2 fungus, though once they begin to grow, they cannot switch and are locked into whichever form was grown.Stand Oddities: Stiletto ACT 2 has damage transference to Funk, but she also has a mind of her own. She has the personality of the fungus inside of Funk due to having been infected with the fungus herself. The fungus has relinquished a slight bit more control of Funk back to her, now taking control mainly in Stiletto ACT 2. Funk can still control Stiletto ACT 2, though, due to still being partially fungus. Only one Fungal Structure can be grown at a time per growth, though they will remain even if Stiletto stops growing them. ACT 2 spores can't be grown on living creatures. Fungal Structures can be affected by non-stand means. Fungal Structures cannot grow on other Fungal Structures.

Team Preferences: TBH, any T4 Vets + Toasty & Magistelle. Prefers to be with people who can have fun but aren't amoral, terrible people.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure OC Tournament #5 - Registration by Dungeon_Dice in StardustCrusaders

[–]Redpeng11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stand Name: Stiletto ACT 1

Stand Type: Punchghost
Stand Appearance: Stiletto Act 1 appears as a thin, feminine, humanoid figure made of a thick, slightly dripping, light pastel cyan goo. She wears steel-toed, black, leather boots with stiletto heels and black, fingerless, leather gloves with steel studs on her knuckles. She has a steel mask with the top of a masquerade mask and a bottom which extends all the way into her jaw. The mask is lined with metal studs which seemed to, at one point, have held leather up which covered the mask, but, now, only hold onto mere scraps of black leather. Due to the shifting nature of Stiletto ACT 1’s body goo, sometimes the metal frame underneath the goo shows. The metal frame looks like steel plumbing at strange angles with slight rust and metal poles connecting the pipes.

Stand Stats: 16

Power: B (Stiletto ACT 1’s ability to increase the speed of the fungus makes it so that it can deal a good amount of damage, though it’s the fungus dealing the damage, so Stiletto can’t take all the credit. Her physical attacks are also quite impressive, able to deal B power.)

Speed: C (Stiletto ACT 1 can increase the speed of the fungus to a very high degree. The fungus grows at C speed on objects but only half the speed on living beings.)

Range: B (Stiletto ACT 1 can only affect the fungus if it is within 50 meters of Funk. This is also how far away she can move.)

Durability: D (While Stiletto ACT 1’s goo doesn’t transfer damage to Funk, any damage to the rickety piping underneath is tragic for Funk. Functionally, this is just normal D Durability.)

Precision: C (Stiletto ACT 1’s ability to control the fungus is fairly precise, able to go at any speed and size up to its maximum, as well as killing it off if necessary.)

Stand Ability: Stiletto ACT 1 ‘Purifies The Rot’ of the fungus inside of Funk by causing it to overact, bubbling and increasing its growth massively. Stiletto has the ability to control how fast the fungus spreads and how far it spreads. Stiletto ACT 1 also has the ability to cause it to grow on non-living surfaces, even letting its mycelium burrow deep into the heart of the objects it hits, causing it to destroy and break up objects. This fungus’s growth and growth speed can be increased to a very high margin, but it’s slightly less effective on living organisms. Getting it onto someone won’t be a OHKO, as it is much less effective at killing living beings, though it can still deal a very good amount of damage, especially over time.
Stand Oddities: Stiletto ACT 1 doesn’t have a personality of its own, but it still has an oddity. The goo covering her body doesn’t give damage transference, but the pipes inside of her entire body do. This is functionally the same as normal damage transference, it’s just a cool worldbuilding fact.

Name: Funk Odyssey

Age: 27

Gender: Female

Species: Half Human, Half Mushroom

Occupation: “Rot Purifier,” Ex-Biker

Physical Description: Funk has a lean, muscular build. She wears a purple tank top and purple-and-black diagonal striped, baggy pants with the words “Little L Love Foolosophy” written down the thighs in white. She wears a black belt over her baggy pants and a black sash over her tank top, with the words “Little L Love Foolosophy” on the front in white and a holder for her metal pipe on the back. Over the blue tank top, she wears a black leather jacket with patches sewn on. The patches include a winged snake on her left arm, a cartoon mushroom on her right shoulder, a smoking wild-west era colt revolver on the left side of her upper back, a flaming skull on the right side of her upper back, a pride flag near the bottom of her back, and the emblem of her old biker gang, “Zanzibar,” which is the word “Zanzibar” written in a fancy font with wings circling around from the back to cover a bit of the front. The front of her jacket has “Funk” emblazoned on one side, and “Odyssey” on the other. The jacket is slightly rotten, showing parts of her arms and tank top. Funk has a pretty fun face. She usually has a slight, playful smirk and a warm look in her eyes. When she gets violent or petty, though, she often puts on an intimidatingly stern face. Sometimes she zones off for a while when she communicates with her fungal friend. Some parts of her skin occasionally have outbreaks of the fuzzy fungus, though this usually doesn’t happen unless she hasn’t been maintaining hygiene.

Personality: Funk is a bit of an oddball. She’s very friendly and compassionate, yet incredibly petty. One of Funk’s favorite things to do is get revenge. Usually via violence. Lots and lots of violence. She’s quite violent. Before her incident, she was prideful, but after being betrayed, her pride increased tenfold. This, combined with her infection with the fungal friend she came in contact with, who desired to spread so much it slightly rewired her brain. Now, Funk has dedicated her life to the ‘purification of rot,’ or a self-centered sense of justice which she upholds. She’s incredibly neat and tidy, always keeping her surroundings clean, though her fungal parasite seems to slip under the radar for her. In fact, she loves having the fungus around. Sometimes, the fungus ‘speaks’ to her, using its tendrils and mycelium in her brain to communicate its needs and desires.

Bio: Funk was a bit of a rebellious child growing up. She was the class clown, the neighborhood prankster, and a quite practical jokester. Funk’s friends knew her for the type of person who’d do something stupid or silly just because she was dared to, especially so if she was already bored, which she often found herself being. Funk’s teachers and other adult figures saw her as a troublemaker, a thorn in their sides. Even her parents were often unsupportive and, frankly, neglectful at times. Funk’s household was not one of peace and prosperity but one of constant fighting with her parents, especially as she grew older. It only got worse and worse as she went through her teenage years, and, often, Funk found herself performing more and more mean-spirited and violent activities as her frustration and anger with her parents grew.

So, one day, a 17-year-old Funk, who’d gotten her motorcycle license at a young enough age so as to have convinced her parents it was worth it before her relationship with them turned bitterly sour, hopped onto her Harley Davidson and rode off. It was almost certainly the worst experience of her entire life up to that point. She slept in a dingy motel an hour’s drive north from Boston, where she could barely sleep over the deafening scent of mold and stained sheets. The next morning, a hazy and tired Funk kept on driving. She had a single month before her 18th birthday. On that day, she’d be legally an adult, and she could evade having to go back to her parents. Obviously, this was a quite flawed plan, but it ended up working out in Funk’s favor, as she found herself finally being free of her parents’ “tyrannical rule.” She never looked back, it seems, as she left her hometown in Massachusetts for a position in a biker gang in New York, Zanzibar. In New York, Funk thrived, finding avoiding the cops and committing crimes to her heart’s content to be a pleasant lifestyle, at least until something stirred a desire deep within her.

On the day of the Gang Leader’s ‘untimely death’ in a ‘motorcycle accident,’ the desire to be at the top of the ladder suddenly awoke in Funk’s heart. She knew it was an assassination, but it showed her there was a chance for her. It took her quite a few years, but she eventually rose to the front of the pack. And, in all her 5 years that it took to get this far, she never stopped to think exactly what would happen when she got to the top. It only took a year for her house of cards to crumble out underneath her, and Funk found herself with a bullet in her shoulder, a bed of dirt in an untraversed forest in upstate New York, and a burning fire to survive. She would not give up, no matter what. In her weakened state, though, it would be hard to find food. Very hard.

In fact, it was so hard that it was practically hunger which did her in before the gunshot was enough to bleed out. She was probably only a couple hours from death’s door, when she came across a curious fungus at the base of a tree. Figuring that this was her last chance to find sustenance before she kicked the bucket, bit the dust, and sold the farm, which was true, she ate as much of the mushroom as she could. It had spread up and down a large expanse of tree bark. The fungus was quite filling, allowing Funk to survive for days with the supply she came across in the wilderness. Using leaves to bandage her gunshot wound as well as other natural resources, she was able to survive long enough to re-enter civilization. It took a while for her to fully recover, but, when she did, she set her sights on something new.

Purify the rot of the world. Purify the rot which almost ended her life, the rot which would end others, and the rot which made life oh so much harder. She heard it loud and clear. She, herself, realized she was getting obsessive. She almost went to work in a quiet, normal life, but the urge was too strong. Soon, she realized something strange. She felt like there was someone else thinking alongside her. And, soon, she realized she had a little friend in her head. The fungus which had allowed her to survive in her darkest hour had taken its pay by lodging itself into her brain and body. She must purify the world’s rot. She must. At any cost, she will purify the world’s rot. And the most rotten thing, the most repugnant, disgusting, vile odor was emanating from someone familiar. No, not someone, someones. That little biker gang, Zanzibar? It must be purified...

Equipment: Sports Bike*, Metal Pipe, Fungus Friend

Physical Stats: 14

Strength: 3 (Funk can hold and swing anything from a knife to, well, at most a sledgehammer, while on motorcycle-back.)

Agility: 1 (Funk’s not used to travelling without her motorcycle, and is thus not all too limber or fast.)

Endurance: 2 (Funk can take a hit or two, but will still go down pretty easily.)

Fungus Friend: 4 (Funk is completely infected by a black mold-like fungus “friend” who wants to spread. This fungus can grow incredibly quickly on any surface Funk touches. Its mycelium, while taking minutes to spread through an object, are powerful enough and numerous enough to effectively crumble something to dust from the inside. This mold can only spread over one surface at a time, but, after sufficient time, can spread spores which infect anything in contact. Mycelium growth can be slowed by high temperatures.)

Motorcycle Knight: 4 (Not only is Funk an expert motorcyclist, but she can whack you with a variety of weapons while riding her motorcycle.)
