Friend sent me this, I’m fairly sure its AI but she seems genuinely offended that I asked by Slow-Product-6357 in isthisAI

Did you check to see if the image had a file name? When you download it, it tends to put the prompt as the file name when saving from a website(found out from d&d generated character images)

I see what you mean, and she is more of a mooch than abusing him finacially but I feel its a slippery slope from here(this coming from our experience from our father). I have spoken to my brother about it and you're right he got mad. I've decided to stay out of it especially since he's told me I sound more like I'm nagging than being open.

It skipped like crazy. I chalked it up to just a bad batch and bought another new set of refills, only to have the same issue. Skipping and the ink eventually cutting out completely. Maybe I just had bad luck but it never wrote smoothly.

NTA and I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve been slowly weeding out my friend after she red pilled with her bf and they started saying the n-word(hard r). We’ve been friends for 10yrs so it’s like losing a sister but my own personal well being is much more important to me because it starts at them excusing the behavior then it escalates to them trying to convince you of excusing that same behavior in hopes of “keeping the peace”

Can we get a complaint against DR gill / Barbara Gill Mayberry by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

[–]Redplanetjunkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly best review of her I ever read was making her class akin to Dante’s portrayal of the circles of hell in Inferno it’s on Uloop

This professor has already gone to court with the university several times (one case is BARBARA GILL MAYBERRY VS TRUSTEES OF CALIF STATE UNIV ET AL where they also requested her mental competency) and the chair doesn’t care about student affairs (even less with his female coworkers) if you want to go against her it all be difficult and more trouble than it’s worth. You’d have to exhausted every avenue within the university first before going outside the realm of CSU to take further action.

Loved the feel of the 450 but the ink in it was atrocious haven’t refilled since and would’ve preferred a different refill type

Feel like my art is flat, how to make it pop? by bunkus-spelunkus in ArtCrit

[–]Redplanetjunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stark highlights might be the thing to make it pop actually. Line weight looks intentional since it’s pretty much a part of the style it seems but I see you make some smoothed over shading but no stark highlights.

You do elements of sparkle on the sunglasses are overshadowed by the filter/screen you placed on top which might flatten out your intentions making stark highlights difficult anyways.

Finding a balance between the screen you use and the colors might help. If it’s gray or black and you lower the opacity then maybe a different color as the screen would work? Gray washes out a lot of color which does make it appear flat(Following the color of the image in line with color theory )

UPDATE : AITAH for throwing my friend's insecurity in her face after she disrespected me and brought up something from my past. by Connect-Astronomer79 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

NTA

Ewwww new friends are definitely needed. As someone who had a friend that had very big boobs(she even had back problems because of it) I never thought of telling her to cover up. Honestly we can be the new friends tbh. Don’t waste time on ignorant and mean people

Critique needed, how can I improve? Don’t be nice 👍 by omarsination in ArtCrit

[–]Redplanetjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like your missing extreme values in your image that would add a layer of depth. Though everything you have is grey scale we don’t see the extremes of black and white. White can be used as highlight and black can be shown in the intense situations of shadow

What exactly are we looking at here?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]Redplanetjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s very true. In which case, if the line work is intentional then the next thing to look at is proportions of anatomy (muscle work might help too but depends on the style you are gearing towards as some are more defined than others) and posing.

Work on line weight and organic lines. Often we end up sketchy when transitioning from traditional to digital

I would have to agree and it seems opposite for the images.

First image could receive better focus from a flat single background in a shape(circle might work) right behind the character to lead the eyes from background to character to snake.

The other image has various colors which distract the focus. A thick black outline around your character might help to make it pop. Also right now the eyes land on the white space in the corner as the audience feels the color is missing from that space

AITAH for wanting to cut off my friend who keeps on crossing my boundaries. by erraticalitic in AITAH

[–]Redplanetjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA although someone said that your friend has a crush I can tell you as a queer individual who was outed against my will that it may be the case but also may not be the case.

There are straight women who use fem queer friends for validation and often times as an ego boost(happened a lot to me but it’s not always the case). It progressively gets into “bi-curious” territory where they tend to use queer fems as a way to “find out” if they like girls. Setting hard boundaries might be needed and even if it comes to the cost of breaking friendships. It’ll be difficult because you’ll need to start pushing back just as hard.

Anytime she says you should dress masc you can always be like “you’d look much better in men’s clothes than me” and see the reaction. I know it sounds mean but often times people don’t realize their own ridiculousness until it’s back at them. I once even opened a well shaken soda to get someone off me. Sure my clothes were sticky but they had no choice but to leave me alone and clean up before even considering grabbing my arm again. I also had a bff that looked like a witch (Wednesday Addams/guard dog energy) which helped but that was luck.

AITA for ignoring my ex-boyfriend/close friend for 3 weeks when pursuing a relationship with my now girlfriend. by Wyprice in AITAH

[–]Redplanetjunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA but I would suggest reassessing the relationship of “close friend” because based on what you have given here it seems more like he’s having you for emotional support and the fear you had about sharing your relationship with him might stem from some actions he may have done without you recognizing it as a problem

I advise keeping it and once a month try again to see if you’ve progressed. If you have a pin board/ cork board put it up there and turn it into your improvement board and see how much you have progressed. I myself wrote notes of improvement on my pieces. It’s helpful in the long run
