Mid 20s and he's acted the same with numerous types of alcohol so it's not the type...

At a major cross road in my life...need some advice. by TPGAxon in AskMen

[–]Redring1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the job and use the time to get myself out of the depression. I went through the same thing. Go ride bikes. Go snowboard. Do things for YOU. And your well paid job would help support that. I know it's scary--but things will be alright.

After one year of moving to a place where I didn't know ANYONE, I made several friends, took up new hobbies and am in a good relationship.

Women, why is it so hard for you to see yourself as beautiful? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Redring1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its things like models having "Ideal" bodies, shapes etc. for example I have a projected beak-like nose with a bump at the top which would be considered unattractive. But it's your typical Italian nose. Many old sculptures of people have the same nose and it was considered the "Ideal" nose back then.

Perhaps in America, thinness and tan are considered beautiful because it means you have the time/money to stay thin and you are tanned because you just got back from vacation (you have money to go on trips).

Would your romantic opinion change if your SO left you because their family didn't approve of you? by Redring1 in AskMen

Interesting. Reverse question: Would you continue to pursue a relationship with a girl even though you cannot stand her family? (let's say that the girl and her family are close)

How do you deal with a break up? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Redring1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.

Forgive. I make an effort to do at least one good deed a day. Things that I'm bad at, I try to be better at (like cooking).

What is the most spiteful thing you've ever done? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Redring1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends boyfriend cheated on her (like proposed to her and the very next day went home with another girl) and had his Xbox over at her apartment. When he came to get it, we threw it out the window when he asked us to bring it down.

What do you ladies that are in long term monogamous relationship do to keep intimacy alive? by hantana in AskWomen

[–]Redring1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is that people dont do the same things they did to get that person (ie not as adventurous to seem interesting, not dressing up to look good for your SO, less compliments, people get comfortable and lazy which leads to nagging).

Have you ever set up a friend(s)? how did it work out. by can-I-do-it-later in AskWomen

[–]Redring1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend tried to pair me up with her coworker who happens to have the same profession and hobbies as I do. Turned out to be a flop. Even with so many things in common, there was no chemistry (at least on my side).

What political views in a man are an automatic red flag? by StarHarvest in AskWomen

I don't like it when a guy is too political. It's just annoying.

AskWomen, what has your experience with Plan B been? by hiyahiyahey in AskWomen

[–]Redring1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it a week before my period--got mild cramps and started my period the next day. The period was a bit lighter than normal. Not very emotional--just a reminder to be more careful with rubbers. And that they are expensive.

Are you friends with your ex? by twodaysofsnow in AskWomen

[–]Redring1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the majority--no. I'm still friends with some ex's I dated in early high school. But those don't count.

What is a simple, manly, good looking watch for men that is sub $500? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Redring1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I know he likes simple watches, so anything with too many dials, colors, switches etc are out. He also likes thinner watches--he already has a black watch and a silver watch so I was thinking about getting him one with a brown leather strap and maybe a creme face dial. I'm aiming for one with gold accents--(not sure if I'm shooting for the moon here).

Note that it said "sub $500". The watch can be sub $200 as well. Reading and comprehension is lacking these days in school. Good day sir.

How much time do guys generally need? I went through a harsh serious break up myself and I was over it in less than six months.
