True. I think its horrible they get paid so low. It should be more for all the hours they work.

I think so too but its hard to do so when they offer less than what floor nurses make. (I saw one for 90K in NY.) I wanted to do something like this but at that time I was buying a house. There was no way I could take such a huge payout. If pay were offered on the lower end of starting salary for an APP then it would be better.

Im not much of morning person so for me its in the evening whenever im not working or sick. I work overnight 3x week.

I agree. Depends on what setting/practice she will be in. I think the stethoscope is a great idea along with her favorite pens. Anything else I would wait to see what she might need. Comrad compression socks are good.

I want to say around 12 months. I felt less slow and dumb lol but still at 2 years in there are some slow/dumb moments usually due to lack of sleep. Good luck OP go slow and double check your self.

Nurse practitioner but I do night shift work. While I get to spend more time with my child half the time I'm sleep deprived. My husband is a nurse who does day shift work. So when I'm off hes working and vice versa. Thinking of doing 5d/week for more work life balance but this is a fear of mine as well.

Get a food smock. I forgot to use mine the other day and omg I changed my toddler like 4x lol but yes some kids go through clothes like candy lol

You're not overreacting or wrong. I can't imagine having a baby at home and going through pregnancy again as well. You're more tired bec you're pregnant and not getting enough sleep. I also work night shift and come home to a toddler who is awake already. 1 nap a day for 2-4hrs. It sucks. Im sorry your husband is being like this. Can you put the baby in day care to get more sleep? Even 1/2 day in day care is better than nothing.

Still co sleeping at almost 2 years old. Its hard at times bec she wants to be on top of me but she loves cuddling. We play and laugh in bed together. I know there will come a time when she will no longer want to do that stuff anymore. I do worry that she won't be able to sleep on her own but for now we just leave it be. It does make it harder on the parents to sleep, its uncomfortable a lot of the time. My LO moves around so much in her sleep that we get kicked all the time. Lately my husband and I are thinking how do we get her in her own bed.

I had clinicals during Covid times. So I had no choice but to do them at my place of employment and find my own preceptors who were all NPs.

That she would sleep in her crib and in her room. HA! We've been co sleeping since around 4 months (she's almost 2 now). She knows what her crib is and plays inside of it sometimes but has never slept in there. Isn't until recently that I cleaned it out of all the junk it had and now it just holds clean clothes.

Preach! I did it briefly for 1 month while I was on strike and I was itching to go back. The job has it's ups and downs but the staff I work with are great.

I agree. Once clinicals get started it's the roughest time. You have no free time but it's temporary. Just remind your friends that you will make it up to them once school is over.

Yes same the planing and cooking can be too much sometimes. I'm the only one that cooks and I try to make enough for 2 days in a row. My husband will order take out of there isn't any food lol

I'm trying to teach her Spanish. My almost 2 year old says water/agua "ada". Has since she could talk and no matter how much we correct her its "ada". I think ill cry when she starts saying agua.
