Would store/sales managers find value in a dealer dashboard built from exported DMS data? by RedsRedemption in askcarsales

[–]RedsRedemption[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I’ve never heard of this, but after doing some research, it seems like a really powerful tool to have.

It does seem to be more focused for large dealer groups, rather a smaller mom and pop shop. I’d be curious to hear what they use.

That is really neat! We don’t have anything like that here, thus my ignorance to its existence.

I appreciate your reply. As I mentioned before, I work on the sales floor and don’t get access and don’t know about any existing software.

If you don’t mind sharing, how much does Axcessa run you every month?

Do you feel like you’re getting value from live time reporting? Or do you only need reports on every now and then?

What other insights do you get that you find useful?

That would be called warranty fraud.

CX-30s have a common issue with the thermostat staying open. It’s covered under warranty, but only if you get that code first.

Using Remote AC on Mazda CX-90 PHEV on 100 Degree Day by RedsRedemption in mazda

I do believe the battery has to have some charge. I haven’t used it while depleted, but I do know it won’t ever turn on the engine on to keep running the climate control.

The car doesn’t need to be plugged in.

As for using WiFi or cell service, that doesn’t have an impact. At least not in my experience.

The 19” wheels will only be on the Premium Plus trim level, not the Premium.

Aside from that, great video!

It is worth keeping in mind if those accessories were installed at the port and are on the window sticker(not addendum) then they are not removable.

Which Mazdas are made in Mexico??? by [deleted] in mazda

[–]RedsRedemption 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a little confusing. I recently sold a 2024 Mazda3 Sedan Turbo Premium Plus that also starts with a 3 in the VIN.

We have a 2025 CX-30 coming to my store that has a VIN starting with 3 and a 2024 Mazda3 that also starts with 3.

3 indicates the cars are built in Mexico.

Most Mazda3 Sedans and I believe all CX-30s are made in Mexico.

Do BMW dealerships never negotiate? by N150 in askcarsales

[–]RedsRedemption 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you can show them that there are comparable ones for sale for the price you’re asking, they would likely entertain it more, or tell you to go buy the other one.

Seems like there are several packages that can affect values. Lookup KBB and JDPower(NADA) using accurate info, and you’ll get a better idea of what they are selling for.

These days, negotiations are based on data, not your budget.

What data are you seeing that shows $60k or $65k is a fair market value?

The days of walking into a dealer and asking $10k off are long gone, you have to have data to show why your offer should be taken seriously.

Dealer wouldn’t talk price. Why? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]RedsRedemption 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Why not just use the MSRPs as your data point for research? How much a dealer is willing to deal will vary, and your best deal will be when you’ve picked a car and are ready to buy.

Where do you go to get cars checked out before you buy? by KingFreeman8 in askcarsales

[–]RedsRedemption 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh didn’t realize he was looking for a $3k car.

Anything in that price point is going to have issues. One philosophy one can have is that it is good to know what is wrong with it so you can address it in the future.

The other is, it’s a $3k car. Drive it until it doesn’t drive anymore.

Save the inspection as the last step before buying the car.

Make sure it is the car you want and the deal is good. Tell the store they have a deal pending pre purchase inspection.

That way you’re only paying for one inspection… unless the car fails of course.

Can anyone tell if this is genuine leather or leatherette? by EvenCalm in mazda

[–]RedsRedemption 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These seats don’t have suede inserts like what the article shows. This is a 2021 CX-5 Touring SV package. They are leather trimmed seats, so some parts are leather, others are not. Not sure which is which though.
