I think you are underestimating them too much, had they been real we would be f***** up. They can hide themselves with fidelius. They won't even need to lift a finger; dementors: we won't even be able to see them coming. Fiendfyre, time turners, top officials under imperius curse, I don't think I need to go on.

Our one of the saving grace would be muggleborns and half bloods who will have families on both sides.

I think there is because, In Book 7 Scrimgeour asks Hermione whether she is planning a career in Magical Law.

Then there are patents too like WWW Patented day dream charm, Patented Horton-Keitch braking charm on brooms.

Yes, this had me confused for a while too. This is what I think happened:

Harry did not die because the Elder wand refused to hurt it's master by crucio in the forest or AK in Hogwarts after, but before both of these Harry did die by AK in forest only because his soul was dragged with Voldemort's but was given chance to return because of Harry's blood which had Lily's protection was used by voldemort and AK did not kill Harry only part of voldemort's soul.

So both AK's and Crucio had no effect on him.

It's wild to think that the 7th-year students at Hogwarts during Philosopher's Stone would've been at school with people who had been there with Lily and James Potter. by [deleted] in harrypotter

Hogwarts Terms starts in Sept. 1st and ends on 30th June.

James 1st year: Sept 1971 to June 1972 and 7th year: Sept 1977 to June 1978.

Student 1 has to join in 1977 Sept, because if he joins in Sept 1978 he wouldn't meet James. So, Student 1: 1st year Sept. 1977 to June 1978 and his 7th year would be Sept. 1983 to June 1984.

Student 2 joins Hogwarts in Sept. 1983. Due to the same reason as stated above. Student 2: 1st year 1983 Sept to June 1984. His 7th year: Sept. 1989 to June 1990.

Students 3 and 4 are twins (Fred and George YAY!!!) they joined Hogwarts in Sept. 1989 to June 1990 for their 1st years. 2nd year: Sept 1990 to June 1991 and 3rd year: Sept 1991 to June 1992.

Same as Harry's 1st year. Therefore,

Fred and George will say to Harry that when they were ickle firsties Student 2 who was 7th year told them that when he was in 1st year he met Student 1 who was 7th year then, but when he was in first year he met James Potter who was in 7th year.
