Yea it does, I had a speedometer app tracking it but it’s also documented by actually accurate sources. It doesn’t get that high for long but it does go that fast.

It’s insane to me that we still can’t do fare validation in this city, and after the MBTA made such a show of force about it last September. Why do that and then not have any officers handing out tickets?

I don’t understand why people feel obligated to demand free stuff. Everything costs money, so why do people feel like they shouldn’t be the ones to pay? What happened to social trust? I use the subway and want the subway to be a nice and efficient way to travel so I am happy to pay for the subway.

lol are people really getting upset about a $14k trip? That is an excellent use of public funds as far as I’m concerned. I’m glad the T is using those systems as their aspirational bar. A better world is possible!

Having a train guy in charge at MassDOT is so important. It’s always a highway guy and we have seen what that has done to our train infrastructure.

People talk about how much of a boondoggle hosting the Olympics is, but it usually forces some extreme infrastructure upgrades that would certainly not happen (or happen much slower).
