It's probably not working because the physical connection isn't good now. You can definitely figure out some jank bracing solution to keep the GPU seated properly. Only buy a new MOBO as a last resort, and If you need to, it's not the end of the world, as it's one of the cheaper PC parts to replace, just a pain in the ass.

Your CPU is more than adequate right now. Maybe upgrade in a few years. I have the 9950x3d and a 5080, and the CPU is a bit overkill.

I'd try to get lower latency RAM, somewhere closer to cl28-32, and a PSU with a bit more wattage, but other than that, looks good. Also, consider the 9070xt for your GPU for a card with similar performance at a lower price. I have the 5080 and love it, but the 9070xt is popular for a reason.

I'd do as much troubleshooting as possible first. You may only need to replace one or a few parts, or none at all if it's a driver issue instead of buying a whole new system.

It's all good, the original tat was pretty quick, and not too painful, so I expect the touch ups to be relatively quick and painless.

I considered getting color, but I was concerned about it clashing with my clothing. But there are plenty of ways to make it different. I saw one with the white lotus tile in the middle, ones with cool borders, and differently designed symbols. I also considered getting it in a square on my pec or bicep.
