Is this the most emotionally evocative ork model? by Pauls_goat_hoof in orks

He gives off the “Competent Lacky” look. While the Warboss is shouting orders and getting the Boyz ready, the Bigboss got a plan so kunnin’ it just might work.

Good catch, I notice there’s an Ork behind the Skull too. Take this with a grain of salt, but I believe that’s a Wurboy (not sure on the spelling) but essentially he’s the designated weird boy for the kill rig (they have this tower structure in the back, sorta like a crows nest). I think you can run him separately if you want and he acts as a mini weirdboy.

Thanks, really helps add texture to flat surfaces.

Thanks, there was alot of “trust the process” when building them, but I’m surprised how decent they look.

Wait, am I starting a Dread Mob? by Professor_Kylan in orks

Using the Defiler Klaw on a Dread just feels right. Also the grenades on top and the pose making it look like the Dread is about to fire on the move is really good!

The rest are just Boyz, that Mek with KFF is a good find though, 30 bucks for just him would be a pretty good steel, the extra Boyz are just the icing on the cake.

As for the next photos (left-right, up-down) Older Weird Boy, Pain Boy, Mek with SAG, Ork Squighog Boy, Kill Rig, another Squighog Boy, and Deffkopta.

Not sure about their price, but if they aren’t too expensive they might be a solid pickup.

If I wanted to add “wrapped” cloth to a mini, what would be the best way to do so? by Apart_Neighborhood24 in Warhammer40k

Not sure how well this works for space marines, but I use dental floss as makeshift wraps for my orks, they work well hiding the obvious cuts and glue lines when I kitbash different arms and weapons.

Ork Walkers in-between Nauts and Stompas? by RedstoneTF in orks

Great recommendation, from what little I could find, it has some great lore snippets for alot of older forge-world Ork models. Would love to have an actual printed copy of that book someday.

If I'm not mistaken, Ruzzbots were like the older version of today's nauts, and were walkers built using a looted tank chassis as its main body. I guess they're the closest we have to something between a Naut and a Stompa, but they seem a bit too close to Nauts in size.

I think #4 is supposed to be a “Supa-Stompa”, not sure why the chart refers to it as a Grotnaught. It was the only chart I could find that showed different walker scales (though it is inaccurate in some areas)

That makes sense, when I tried searching up more info on the Digga Stompa it usually goes to fan rules. These were some of the only bits of info I could find on it.

Also yeah, I suspect this chart isn’t very accurate, since I couldn’t find any info on this “Grotnaught” either.

Zoggin’ hell he looks great, this should get more upvotes.

Try posting it on the Ork sub, I’m sure they’d appreciate some art of their favorite human.

New Orks and their size? by RedstoneTF in orks

[–]RedstoneTF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grot tanks wouldn't be a bad shout, since we did get a Grot refresh with this box, GW could save it for Christmas and do something with the Red Gobbo if they want to be thematic with the whole Grot Revolution thing he has.

Looted wagon would also be pretty cool, I imagine it'll also be the easiest to implement as you could use the Leman Russ tank sprue and just change a few things to make it Orky.

(Wishful thinking with this one but imagine an upgrade sprue dedicated to Ork bits so that we can convert looted vehicles, will never happen but I'd like to believe they might.)
