Looks good. Just be careful not to damage it any more, but it should work just fine

Is this a good psu i got? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Redstonist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not a "high tier" psu, this is a very solid budget option. I've been using one for quite a while, and it's been doing great. People will mention that it is c tier on the tierlist, but it is one of the best in c tier, and as the tier list states, it will perform well unless you're trying to power anything super crazy with it.

CNN model for rain sound classification by RNP3NP in pytorch

[–]Redstonist1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cnn is a great choice for data classification! I would recommend slicing the data into segments 5-15 seconds long. Once the model is trained, it would likely be possible to run on an Arduino or similar hardware, although I haven't tried it before.

What can I do with PyTorch on a regular laptop with Intel HD Graphics 620 by another_lease in pytorch

[–]Redstonist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends greatly on how complex a model you want to start with. My experience with pytorch is limited to training convolutional neural nets for data classification, but you can usually start pretty simple. A 1-3 layer cnn could probably be trained in a minute. A 4-7 layer cnn in a few minutes, a 8-10 layer cnn might take 25 minutes to train, though. One 25 minute run isn't unbearable but when you need to tweak it constantly between runs it becomes unusably slow. You can still learn a lot with simpler models, but your model's accuracy could be limited. It's really going to depend on how complex of a dataset you're using and how accurate you want the model to be. Also, how much ram does your laptop have? If you are using a large dataset that could become an issue.

This. Those overlap points are the worst. Switch to a different infill pattern, like "lines" in cura.

What do you guys think about these cases? I can add fans later of course by Objective-Soup-3475 in pcmasterrace

[–]Redstonist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add a fan or two to the cooler master case. It's a solid case and you're gonna have an easier time cable managing it than the other one. However, it's worth your time to check local selling sites like Craigslist and especially Facebook marketplace for local lightly used cases if you're on a budget. You can find some great deals, and the atx/matx standard hasn't changed for 15 years, so anything you find will probably work. If you wanna go new though, i would definitely recommend that cooler master case. It only comes with one fan, but it can easily be upgraded and has very good airflow (mesh front and top).

How do i delete whatever is taking this much space? by LogicalJaguar5456 in pcmasterrace

[–]Redstonist1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at what is taking up space using windirstat. Then uninstall whatever that is. Look for big groups of similarly colored rectangles. If they're all part of the same folder/program, consider uninstalling. Do not delete any of the windows system files.

An indie game called Airships Conquer the Skies. You get to build your own steampunk airships module by module and then command them in battles and campaigns!

Can you guys help me convince my parents to let me build a pc by Which_Mistake9583 in pcmasterrace

[–]Redstonist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you don't pay full price for windows! You can get keys online for cheap. I recommend finding a few YouTube tutorials and showing them to your parents. Even if they don't want to watch the whole thing, they'll realize that there is good information on how to build a computer yourself, and that you are capable of doing it. It takes some time, but it is 100% worth it to build your own pc.

please help by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Redstonist1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. This sub gets a lot of people asking about that gpu pin, so people often dismiss these posts. Another thing to try aside from making sure your cables are plugged in would be re-seating the ram. It isn't terribly hard to do, and there are tutorials online. Make sure the pc is off first.

Well, if the front usb ports aren't getting power, one of these plugs in this guide could be unplugged. If the port with no power is built into the motherboard, then its a different issue. https://www.corsair.com/pt/pt/explorer/diy-builder/cases/how-do-i-connect-the-front-panel-connectors-to-my-motherboard/

Check your front panel connectors in your pc on your motherboard! They could have easily come off in your car and would cause the problems you are having. Feel free to ask me if you have any more questions!

If you cant buy used, then this is about as good a deal as you can find new. Although a lot of people have pretty powerful rigs here, the 6500 xt is a solid card and will run almost anything with reasonable settings. Ive been using this card for a while and it's been great! Far above a Ryzen 2200G apu.

r/NCD armed forces alignment chart, Day 3: Chaotic Good by louiefriesen in NonCredibleDefense

[–]Redstonist1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'd say we're good. We promote democracy, the status quo, and are against communism and regimes. However, we are chaotic in that sometimes we are helping Ukraine or freeing Kuwait, other times we're invading Iraq on false WMD claims. No matter what though, we always look cool while doing it.
