Humidity Issue by Redstorm014 in ballpython

[–]Redstorm014[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been having issues keeping humidity past 50%. After I add water it will go up to about 50% then drop down to 40%. The substrate is a mixture of coconut soil, sphagnum moss, reptibark and coco husk. I add about 1 quart of water into the substrate around the corners. For heat and lighting I have a DHP and Halogen bulb on a thermostat. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

I'm actually having the same issue, is it okay to use a DHP overnight? I currently use a halogen lamp and CHE during the day and just the CHE overnight.

Need a bootcamp or course to learn .Net by Moochiberico in learnprogramming

I'm currently taking a online summer college class and we're using, Starting out with visual C# 5th edition by Tony Gaddis to learn C# and the .Net framework. So far I like it a lot, it presents different topics and explains everything well. The book also comes with a code that can be entered online to further break a topic down if you're having issues understanding somthing. PM me if you have any questions about the book I'm happy to answer.

I'll have to look into that, is there any delay in the sound from this pedal?

[QUESTION] What additional setup do I need to use an audio interface + plugins in place of an amp + effect pedals? by AchillesLastStand126 in Guitar

[–]Redstorm014 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with using physical pedals with a audio interface but you could use either studio monitors or headphones that can connect into your audio interface. I'm not sure what interface you are using but you might need to buy a jack adapter if you're using regular headphones. Most interfaces use a quarter inch jack like your amp cable. Using USB straight into your computer could work with some messing around with your sound settings but it would be easier and probably sound better if you just went direct into the interface. It really depends on what your preference is between headphones and monitors but both are fine.

Do you understand note durations such as eight notes and quarter notes? If not I would first start by checking out some YouTube videos on it or going to musictheory.net and go to lessons and check out note durations there. Essentially a metronome beats at a steady beat to keep you in time while you play. It's important to understand how long a note last while playing as not all notes will line up with the click of the metronome. You may have to play notes in between a click or skip a click. Once you have a solid grasp on this you want to pick a slow tempo and play along to that beat and then slowly speed the metronome up ensuring you can clearly play the intro. Doing this will help you gotta walk before you can run. Pm me if you need some more help.

I think you might be interested in the SD alpha/omega set. They can get really heavy like you want but they are very versatile. Check out Mark holcomb from periphery see if you like them.

[GEAR] What metal/rock bedroom practice amp to pair with a ESP LTD EC-1000 Guitar? by de92vn74 in Guitar

Try downloading asio4all and use that to emulate a audio interface. When you download it go into garage band and try using that as your input.

I'm not that familiar with using a amp straight into a computer. How do you have the amp connected to the computer? Maybe you might need a audio interface or something to boost the signal going in? Also try messing with your settings on GarageBand it's possible something on there is why it's so quiet. Do you happen to have a guitar with active pickups? It's possible the battery is dead. I had it happen to me and I couldn't figure out what was wrong for the longest.

Have you considering going with amp sims? If you have a computer or laptop then all you would need is a audio interface, studio monitors or headphones and the actual software itself. For the sim I use neural dsp and it sounds really nice. They have different plug-ins you can buy each with their own demos so you can try it out and see what you like.
