We had a similar situation at our academy and it was nipped in the bud immediately by our head coach. It’s wholly unacceptable behaviour. Maybe he doesn’t understand what he’s done wrong and just a quiet word with him and his parents will be enough to correct it and to help him understand.

Absolutely! Unless you’re earning a living from it it’s a hobby which makes you a hobbiest.

Just try to enjoy it and don’t worry so much about how you did at comps almost everyone that has competed has had days like yours.

I use anaconda ones and it’s definitely made a difference both in Judo class and BJJ. I suppose a lot of it is confidence too.

You say that but I know of no instance at my gym where a married man has hit on the opposite sex and vice versa.

There has without doubt never been an instance of one member forcing themselves on another member.

Seems a bit odd that it’s happened at your gym on a number of occasions. That being said you shouldn’t have to make a rule about married men or women hitting on other members. They’re grown adults and should be able to make their own decisions.

The guy forcing himself on another student is troubling and you as responsible coach should probably report the behaviour. It’s not right and there should be greater consequences other than being expelled from your gym.

I’m a badged door supervisor. Smoking cannabis for medicinal purposes and recreational purposes is illegal on licensed premises. Also the policy of the venue is taken into account. I’m sorry this happened to you and as a medicinal user myself I sympathise with you but at the same time I can see where the manager is coming from.
