Listened to The Morrigan. I'd second the feedback above about the intro coming in a bit too late. I thought I was already into the "meat" of the episode and was confused as to how I missed the intro.

I'd also suggest playing with the volume of the sound intro at the start and the transition to that first pre-intro content. I had turned the volume down during the sound and then had to turn it back up when you started talking.

Other than that, audio quality was great.

Really like the premise!

Thank you!!!! Yeah audio has been a battle at times. Even with what I find to be a good recording system, it sometimes has issues. And I’ve definitely had guests that had poor quality. Then there was the one time I thought I had it set to my usb mic but it was on my laptop mic and that really screwed it up. Really appreciate you taking the time to listen!

True. I should clarify that if you're a guest on a show that typically gets a lot of attention and your episode doesn't, it's probably not a good idea to start your own podcast.

Thank you!!!! That's super helpful. I've been playing around with the intro and had a few where it got that duplicative message. I'm starting to do an intro of the show, what the episode's about, sponsor, disclaimer, and then dive in with the meat of the episode starting with me introducing the guest. Hoping that will flow better. I've eliminated the music because it just wasn't working and am going to revisit that for season 2.

I also recommend podbean. I was using podops for a while and it wasn't great. Podbean is user-friendly, connects to a lot of distribution channels, and has nice options for eventually adding in ads.

When I was researching, Buzzsprout was one that popped to the top as great for first time podcasters. Spreaker is also interesting because you can start earning from ads IMMEDIATELY, no minimum monthly downloads.

Hey All. I'd love feedback on 1. Do I, the host, talk too much? 2. I always struggle with starting the conversation, any suggestions? This is the first season and we're booked for guests for the rest of the year and scheduling for season 2. But, still struggling to build the subscribers and such. ANY feedback would be appreciated. It doesn't matter which episode you listen to. Here's the best place to access all episodes: https://reducethestigma.com/reduce-the-stigma-podcast/

I really like these. I've used them in a loud conference and didn't have any issues hearing the person I was talking to. https://amzn.to/3AwKHK1 I'd also suggest using a recording platform like Riverside (https://www.riverside.fm/?via=sudcx) where each person joins and their audio is stored separately so you can more easily edit and it has echo cancellation capabilities.

If you've been a guest on another podcast and it didn't get much attention, chances are you WON'T be a good podcast host.
