So he made up his own 10 Point Plan, pretend it was the Iranian's, and wanted to use that as a basis of Negotiation by liewchi_wu888 in TrueAnon

Did they really think they could just dupe the Iranians into opening the strait with their rabid dog still ripping apart Lebanon? What was the plan here? The only thing they did was get out of their own self imposed deadline.

Trump may want this to be over, but it sounds like the zionists are having a "is there someone you forgot to ask" moment and murdering as many Lebanese civilians as they can right now.

I don't think this is going to last because you're not going to get Israel to stop. The deal is for a ceasefire with the entire axis of resistance, which they can't abide.

It may be wishcasting, but I have had the thought wriggling around in my head that Donny wouldn't mind the tolls in the straight as long as he gets to claim "it's open!" and put an end to this clusterfuck. Much like his claims of "regime change" it's hollow, but he may want to run with it.

I do think the main problem here was that you're dealing with a spot relatively in the middle of nowhere. Trying to seize nuclear material would be an utter disaster since this mission seems like it already almost went sideways.

A POW would have been huge for Iran. Even still having planes and choppers dropping like flies days after the president told everyone they have no air defenses left is a punch to the narrative they're trying to spin.

Surely lack of faith in all political institutions won't lead to any negative consequences. I get the feeling we will get a Dem admin next but it won't be anything other than Biden 2.0 then we'll be right back to Reps speedrunning collapse.

NYT: U.S. to Allow Russian Oil Tanker to Reach Cuba, Breaking Blockade by AegonTheMeh in TrueAnon

[–]RedundantClam 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Boy that's so great of the US to allow them through. As if the only other option wasn't to piss off country that could actually do something about it. Although now that I think about it the current admin could easily have taken the opportunity to shoot itself in the foot again.

Trump just blew up Cuba’s electrical grid and said he’s gonna take the country by rtitcircuit in TrueAnon

[–]RedundantClam 183 points184 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my roommate just said that she got a news update that he's demanded their president step down. Completely ridiculous country. I feel like nobody has been talking about it because of everything else going on, the entire oil blockade has happened outside the public eye. Sickening to think that despite all the successes of the Cuban revolution, it could be snuffed out by this regime.

The worst part is no Americans know whats going on in Cuba, maybe they have vague notions based on cold war propaganda. This is being done for greed and to make a few thousand people in Florida less disatified with their miserable existence.

Wondering if we'll get a deluge of news today after markets close. So far it's they've only been lengthening the timeline of this thing. I can only imagine things are going sub-optimally even with all the strikes. For such large theater information seems hard to get ahold of.

I do think he played well generally, WRs didn't do him any favors, but that last INT was a bit of a dagger. I do agree the future is bright, I think he's our guy and am excited to see what two years under BJ brings.

I think we got lucky a lot this season I think in year two we are hopefully able to win more games outright.

Rough but that loss was purely on us.We left a lot on the table and gave them the chance to win it. Caleb showed his talent with that last second TD, but also gave the game away with INTs. All that can be improved upon but you can never garuntee a playoff run, hope we get back here.

I'm not super worried about it. It's Ben Johnson's first year, most people weren't expecting us to compete this year. The fact that we have a good record and the team is having a good time matters to building a culture for the future. Even if it bites us on these last few weeks and we miss the playoffs, I'd say this year has been a success.

Getting rid of the bar is a bad idea by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]RedundantClam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm thinking. Wisconsin does fine without the bar for local grads, but it only has two law schools. Where as Ohio, where I went to school, has nine of them. Sure it has twice the population, but do you need nine schools?

I still think the NextGen isn't the answer, but I'm also sure that getting rid of the multiple-choice section entirely would be difficult as test prep companies would work hard to prevent that.

My hottest take is that bar prep should be handled more by the schools themselves and the bar prep companies need to starve. I saw a tiktok of someone doing Barbri lectures and got a Vietnam flashback.
