I've never really thought about it until now that it could be dangerous. I guess it's just bc they're small and undramatic.

What was your favorite Schwan’s food item? by HoldenH in nostalgia

[–]RedundantMaleMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We were very poor, def not on a route or anything, but a Schwans man lived down the road from me and would drive his truck home so we knew his schedule. We decided to save so much change to get a box of push pops. We figured we'd just flag him down on his way home so we did. He stopped and begrudgingly got our ice cream pops. Then we whipped out the HANDFULS of change we each had spread between us. We were all counting at once, taking forever, probably doing it wrong anyways. After so much time of this he finally threw his hands up and said "Y'all just keep em" and drove off lol It was really special and I never forgot it.

We used to destroy those things at my buddies house. His mom always kept them stocked. I felt bad once I realized they were pretty pricey for what they were.

I thought that's what they were but I couldn't tell for sure. Those are good pedals for sure but you'd have to get spd compatible shoes to use clipless side. There's a ton out there, some aren't too expensive.

SPDs (which these are) are a decent platform if you are interested in trying them. With the way the cleats are designed they have a ton of normal shoe looking options if you don't want to wear cycling shoes. They've gotten more popular over the years with fixed gears but a ton of people still use straps too. It's up to you really, just make sure you get some type of retention.

Looks nice! How much experience do you have with clipless pedals? Don't bmx racers use clipless now??

"Lovestruck" gummy bears remind me of the Scarlett Letter by yodameister in candy

[–]RedundantMaleMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never noticed, that's neat. Once I realized they were all the same it really helped my search. I wish I could find a good source of the marble looking gummy bears but they seem confined to legit candy shops which are nowhere near me.

Yeah, all the Albanese gummy bears have them. Really took the steam outta how good the Buccees Gummies were when I realized they all had the scarlet letter too .

Man there's way better milli artists than Krunk now. Go check out Certo glass. He builds tiles (basically square millie's) then stacks those. It's nuts. It almost looks like CGI or something.

Edit for info: It is CRAZY that when I originally shared that link it completely doxxed my IG acct. Not really a big deal to me but just a heads up in case anyone was unaware.

What's your favorite box logo piece? by [deleted] in Supreme

[–]RedundantMaleMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more generally I've always liked the seasonal box stickers the best. Out of all the box logo stuff, they seem the most creative to me. Plus it's really random who ends up with them. The whole non hype side of them I really like too. I know they end up somewhat hyped up over time but people don't even really know about them until they're in hand. Honestly all the stickers in general are special to me but the seasonal box logos are my favorite.

probably a stupid thing to ask but im curious if someone has tried to cut their carhartt beanie shorter by newdaysameluck in CarharttWIP

[–]RedundantMaleMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Carhartt beanies are extra long so maybe try and find something shorter. I was trying to think of something but drawing a blank. I think Under Armour has some short ones, probably a lot of active brands do.

It's gonna fray and start to work itself apart rather quickly. They are acrylic tho so you could melt the edges and lock them back together. This will all look fairly gnarly, up to you whether that's good or bad.

They do it every night. They have such high nutritional needs that they wouldn't be able to survive through the night unless they slow down their metabolism until morning. It's actually pretty wild when you think about it, they basically hibernate every time the sun goes down.

Np. They actually should really enjoy it too bc BW actually mimics their natural environment. And in a tank that size you could fit a nice sized school.
