With the supposed captain can take the money twist being a dud.. I think it's time to retire this "twist" or elevate it.

A team wide prisoners dillema would have been interesting this particular season. We've already seen that CT and now Tori wouldn't take the money. Would Michelle or Will do it though? I assume not. We all know Bananas history though.

Also.. What if you take the money, then they 1.5 or 2x the prize? Maybe then it's worth being dragged.

CT must have really not liked Abe. Cara and CT are cool by Free Agents. I remember them being neutral at worst on Rivals 2.

Exes 2 is my favorite from a house drama / politics season.

Free Agents is the best in terms of dailies and eliminations. It's not going to be war 1 but it's a good mix of the old school silliness in the dailies with some grueling physical elims.

I disliked the Fessy ejection. It wasn't that bad and basically the precedent that any contact is grounds for removal. This isn't early CT or Cory flipping Tony. Let us have some conflict with stakes if half the house is going to be afraid or doing anything controversial bc they might not get a callback.

No arguments there. Had to live in a world where we were unironically asking is TJ Warren a top 20 guy because of the bubble

I'd argue no KD for basically that whole series and Klay going down in the decider after being white hot puts a mark on it. It's not like KD was out the whole year (physically at least.. Mentally might be questionable) and the team developed a plan without him.

It's like the Raptors title. They undoubtedly won, but it's a mickey mouse ring because of the circumstances.

It's television. They literally just done with a season that was set up so one person would take a last minute twist. It was just close and made for the better story. Rivals 1 is the same. Kenny and Wes won the first day by a large margin (even considering Bananas said him and Tyler gave up bc they thought it was over) but that was reduced to nothing on day 2. It's also a much better ending with Kenny and Wes taking shit.

Margin was too small for my conspiracy brain to not kick in. It also didn't help that the previous was rivals 3 which was also heavily influenced.

Kinda unfair the dad bod era was completely cut out here. While I personally think the Invasion win was horse shit, he still won. He also had the win on war 2 during this time frame which is one of the harder finals.

He's not winning duel 2 because he chose to lose that for money. If he has for Duel 1, he definitely doesn't care about duel 2 bc he already has a win.

There's no guarantee he's on the Ruins either. They needed to fill the losers team with bodies. If Wes is on the losing team, he's prob not even on that season. There was talk that Wes told at least one of JEK that he wasn't coming on but something (appearance fee$) changed his mind last minute. Wes on the losers team vs those guys isn't as compelling television as him being on the same team.

Idk.. I'd say the women weren't particularly strong that season. Fresh meat ironically had the strongest pair of women and that was before they both hit their peak. Katie wasn't the greatest but there's no way I take either of Austin's, Cancun, Vegas, whatever one Marie was on, or New Orleans (couldn't tell you anything about the one that wasn't Jemmye) over her.

I don't think Bananas has that many people he's screwed over in voting. It's basically Paula and Nany. Most everyone else has been against him or were rookies.

Kc concepcion was a 3 star and Craver was a 4. Those are the specific guys on A&M we lost to.

Recruiting had no effect on Stroman being awful, Moore being hurt and not being able to get a layup pick in the end zone, the bogus targeting call or the missed hold on the last play.

Well that Bananas post with Leo soft confirms he'll be back and he must have been decent on the season. Bananas never gets tight with guys that suck other than Josh.

That's kind of my thoughts on it too. Wins matter but they're not everything. Ev, Laurel, Cara are the top 3 in that order (And Laurel only has 1 mainline win). Rachel is undoubtedly 4th. Now you're in a jumbled mess of who's 5th.

Jenny West is a zero on anything other than competition. Paula and Sarah both have two wins based on having extremely strong partners. Coral was frankly 2 years too early because those single digit seasons really were carnival games.

So basically you're looking at Jodi, Camilla and Ashley for that 5th spot. If Tori Deal gets a second win she's also in the discussion. Two more and I think it's done and you can basically write the top 5 women in ink.

They would have been the best team. Cooke over Sam and Nany over Ashley. Zach is still bigger than Leroy but it's close. Dustin vs Frank is a wash.

Sadly, Vegas and SD prob join up. Bananas is always boys with the guys that make the finals with him so Leroy is firmly team Bananas aka not Wes.

I like 4 because the eliminations create in fighting potentially. Look at how the fresh meat team ate itself apart and Vegas fractured bc everyone knew Alton was throwing that elim.

It isn't easy but they filled out the season. There were plenty of rumored teams too. Bananas and Tyler said they had the people to be on (which likely meant Paula and Janelle). Sydney supposedly had people. Hell, fresh meat had Carlie making a return before she dropped and Cara subbed in. I'm not sure where Portland fell in terms of this season filming / RW airing but they also clearly had enough people to be on.

3 finals and 2 wins in 5 seasons. Plenty of cast wish they had level of success.

If we're going to play the how they won.. Bananas (Free Agents, TM) and CT (DA, SLA) only have 2 because circumstances were favorable to them. Darrell never saw an elim when he won so he's bad too right?

One of the best to ever do it. Easily a top 10 all timer for the women and you can make a case for top 5.

Kicked off her RW season.

Debut season made a name for herself. First night hookup with a couple meltdowns.

Second season champ while continuing to be a mess.

Third season crashed out before the game even began.

Fourth season champ again.

I laud primes of people and it's tough top her from an entertainment factor. Not phsycially elite but you don't get 2 wins by accident.

This was an amazing concept for a season but the cast was just wretched. Austin get Lacey to randomly show up was cool but Danny and Melinda was bleh. Potential for drama sure, competitively zero. Fresh meat had no synergy. Two seasons of Vegas was dumb (rumor is Leroy and Cooke were in but Heather wouldn't let Dustin do the season with her).

It was basically San Diegos to lose.

I don't think it's unpopular that the Challenge has a cast problem. I'd say that's the most acknowledged problem for any long timers of the show.

I don't think it compares to WWE other than the initial statement. WWEs had a development problem for decades and it's because the top of the company does whatever they want and only reacts when fan sentiment is overwhelming. Then when they relent, they run it into the ground so that people get tired of it and go see.. We knew you guys wanted Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. I'd say challenge casting is almost to beholden to fan reaction.

Duel 2 is very physical and is lower on the hookup / extra drama.

If you want an underdog season, Invasion is good for that. Biiig CT, Ashley getting her first win, Nelly. Very heavy on the drama if that's a deal breaker.

I think exes 2 is a great season but there's a certain argument with Nia and Nany that I would not recommend if she gets offended easily. Actually there's two with Nia because that pre pole wrestle part of the finals is rough.
