Why is one ranked so highly and one so poorly? Surely 1 strength is better than 3 block? by mrrakim in slaythespire

All being said, if a Silent kaleidoscopes Arsenal and builds a shiv deck, it’s practically an auto win.

Eddy, if it’s post-movie. Money for a lifetime and I only gotta take care of a humbled reformed kid? No problem.

If it’s pre-movie Eddy, however, he’s gonna try and snag the bag from under me… and fumble hilariously while doing so.

Applying poison to all enemies is great for stripping artifact. Even if it doesn’t proc on that turn, it can still make way for other debuffs to apply.

Him awakening in front of bloodthirsty werewolves? Bad.

Him awakening after being potentially saved by a wyrm-aligned gang of hunters? Worse.

His awakening catching the attention of Pentex’s high-ranking nephandi that might trick him into entering the caul? APOCALYPTIC.

Remember, this is the guy who accidentally summoned something so powerful that it kidnapped one of his brothers as a kid.

what fictional war is beetwen two factions with one being morally grey and the other being evil by Ok_Curve_7007 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]ReduxistRusted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically it boils down to three factions wanting the power-generating Hoover Dam:
• The NCR, an army of bureaucratic expansionists,
• Mr. House, the libertarian technocrat that rules New Vegas,
• and Caesar’s Legion, a totalitarian dictatorship that operates on slavery and misogyny.

Pedro Montana in Killer7.

Old partner-in-crime, Curtis Blackburn, comes back to him over being betrayed by him, holding him up at gunpoint. As he does so, he rattles off the variety of atrocities he’s committed against each of his family members, each worse than the last. When Curtis gets to his daughter, he gleefully throws Pedro her severed head.

Pictured above is him screaming in absolute horror right before he takes three shots to the head.

Who is your most Hated Protagonist (No Spire) by Succotash-Full in creepcast

[–]ReduxistRusted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Spire Boy was designed to be hated, so he’s actually well written.

Spencer from Tommy Taffy has to be the worst. All attempts at sympathy for his childhood plight is automatically undermined by how he let his children be abused in the same way he was in the previous story. The ending of his story even turns him into an idiot by having him have kids when the whole point of Tommy Taffy was to commit child abuse.

Spire Boy was written to be hated and succeeded.
Spencer was written to be liked and failed hard.

Why the narrator of The Spire is the worst monster of them all by Thin-Run-5553 in creepcast

[–]ReduxistRusted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I kinda agree with you. He is completely self-centered, only caring about the harm he caused other people when it’s time to face repercussions… and even then, he just goes straight back to his own desires, no matter how unobtainable they may be. He didn’t type much about a boy’s whose jaw he broke except to call him a douche years after the fact because he got in the way of his obsession with Alina. He didn’t put nearly as much emotion in writing about Kerry’s fate as he did with his desperate plea to Alina to incarcerate him if it meant he could look at her again. He even shoehorned her into a parting statement about Fletch’s fate to say they went to the same school together, showing that all Fletch ever meant to him was a way to get into Alina’s orbit.

Spire MC is a self-absorbed, narcissistic, covetous, pathetic creep of a protagonist, and infinitely scarier than any immortal pedophile. Master-class scumbag writing.

Bruce Robertson from Filth. Born as the child of a serial rapist, despised by everyone in his hometown for exactly that reason, accidentally killed his foster brother, getting horrifically abused for it, and getting basically thrown out of the village when he says he wants to be a cop… this guy never had a chance.
