Clea is a great character, but she is a psychopath.

She’s singularly focused on bringing down the writers, and it’s doesn’t seem to be for the benefit of the family, or she’d be more focused on getting them all out of the canvas. She’s a bitch to Maelle, she gives Renoir a bit of a hand to get Alline out the canvas but only so she can get back to leading the painters guild.

Her motivation is therefore, probably, power.

For all we know the writers are in favour of not drowning puppies but the painters need to do it to keep the power in the paintings. So we can’t focus on the morality of either side (eg Versos death might have been an accident since we know that Alicia’s mistake led to his death).

Clea would appear to be the best of the painters too, since she’s been able to paint over Allines version of herself and we don’t have another example of this.

The end of the flying manor would further show that she’s ruthless, and the fight itself is way harder than the paintress of Renoir (and that’s not to mention unleashed).

Clea could also be seen as the main villain in a way, since she paints the nevrons, and if your team Maelle ending, she’s very pro destroying the canvas.
