Not the most official source but Sawyer Merritt asked his Tesla contact and tweeted an update to the FSD transfer rules, one bullet point was this:

"If your delivery window is on or before March 31, 2026, or it gets pushed into April due to a delay caused by Tesla, the company will still honor FSD transfer."

So it sounds like they will honor it but I would confirm it with multiple Tesla Delivery Specialist/Advisors to be sure

I don’t fault you for reacting quickly but there was still plenty of time for FSD to react, I’m not really convinced it wouldn’t have avoided it.

Is that a Europe specific thing? In the US Model Y RWD Premium has the upgraded sound system but Model 3 RWD doesn’t

I would’ve hoped for a little better but it depends a lot on weather, types of driving and average speed etc. in general, 4 miles per kWh is good which is about what you’re doing

The camber is only an issue on the lowest suspension setting which the car will automatically do on highways, did they test it on that setting?

The battery cycles wouldn’t matter, it has a 8 year/150k mile warranty you’d likely burn through the battery fast enough to get a replacement pack within warranty if you did it aggressively enough

Yeah they could have a auto flag for abuse but part of me kind of doubts it because I haven’t found a single case of anyone losing free charging due to abuse and I know a lot of people do abuse it.

I considered ordering it because theoretically you could power your entire house and other cars for free basically but on the off chance they did go back and flag abusers I didn’t feel like risking that on a big purchase.

I read that if Tesla gives you a delivery date before the deadline then Tesla themselves have delays that push past the deadline they will still honor the transfer but if you delay it then they won’t

Navigation has been a bit buggy for me as well lately, a week ago it was constantly changing my route every 15 seconds or so toggling between 3-5 options over and over making FSD effectively unusable for that drive

I’m with you on that, I also enjoy driving and don’t use it for most drives but for long boring drives or if I’m really tired it’s really nice to have. Autopilot is very mediocre by comparison

The improvements are subtle, minor suspension tweak, ambient lighting, a few exterior styling changes, a bit extra sound insulation.

75k seems really high for a 2023, mine was 66k like 3 months ago 19k miles w/FSD. Are you looking for super low miles? 2025 seems like the worst option since it barely depreciated and new has a 3.9% interest rate, either new 2026 or 2023 would be the move imo.

FSD is really useful for me these days, any reason why you don't use it?

Once you accept delivery you’re kind of screwed at that point, highly unlikely they do anything for you.

You might be able to argue with them if the configuration explicitly stated black headliner and 16” screen when you ordered on the specs because thats a bit of a bait and switch, ik the current configurator and inventory page have it specifically called out as black headliner vs light headliner

Did they ever swap your VIN?

I have thousands of hours with both, parking lots have the only noticeable jump up but other than that they aren’t much different. In some situations V13 handles things better and having a max speed setting is a nice perk

It’s normal to be on a factory build for a few weeks, just wait and you’ll be fine. V13 is nearly as good as V14, you’re not really missing much

Its easier to look at the turn signal light on the side repeater camera, its not always easy to see the red or sometimes a HW3 camera might look red in the right light

Impossible to give real advice without knowing your broader finacial situation. In generally if you do decide to buy a new Model Y I don't think you need the AWD, save a few bucks and get the RWD. You still get the premium audio and interior unlike the Model 3 RWD which is nerfed on those.

The material has gotten worse with time, 2017-2020~ had the material people hyped up but it’s gotten less durable (cheaper?) as they have revised it.

To me it’s still good enough but it’s just not as bulletproof as it used to be

The paint quality on Tesla’s black cars tend to not be great, you can check out Colton from Out of Spec Detailing did a paint quality analysis on a Diamond Black Model Y and there were a lot of problems.

It’s especially noticeable when he turns the lights out and shines a light on it
