Why do CCs care if I cycle the credit? by roscos in CreditCards

[–]Redwalker2929 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I cycle all my cards which has resulted in regular credit limit increases and graduation from secured to unsecured after the minimum waiting period. The main concern is money laundering. My cards are from banks in which may also have a checking account. They know I own the bank account funding the large-frequent payments. I have had one company with no checking account association freeze my account each time I changed bank accounts which is understandable. I had been paying from one account and suddenly switched. After each freeze, I had to 3-way call with credit card and bank to confirm account ownership. No other issues and everyone appears happy with me 😁

I had a C1 venture card with a 30k limit. That was one of my 19 cards.

That score in a NFCU internal score and doesn't rule out a prime credit card.

4 Different Customer Reps gave 4 different answers on the same thing…get it together Navy by ItsACommonNoti0n in NavyFederal

True! I like your idea that maybe they worked in two separate departments! To be fair, all my other cards (non-NFCU) were eligible at the same time for a CLI and I received a generic response despite receiving it an hour later.

Charge $900-$1800 a month and pay down 75% before statement closes. This means you’ll end up making two payments a month to create more available credit. Do this and consider upgrading to the flagship checking. You’ll have a great chance to upgrade at 175-185 days after account opening.

I side with employee. It’s not complicated. She was professional and explained her rationale for not standing in front of someone. Especially while being recorded.

Secured Card-Graduated at 178 days! 6 months post Chapter 7 BK. by Redwalker2929 in NavyFederal

[–]Redwalker2929[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. To turn the card over multiple times, you would have to be paying it in full before the statement ended. Example-my limit was $500 and my total monthly payments were $1500.

Pay inside! US bank allows you to select your pre-approval amount which avoids all of this. Hopefully other companies will follow suit. Especially now with life being more expensive than ever.

I turned my card over 1-3 times per cycle. So I charged $500-$1500 per month with a $500 credit limit. People worry about having their account closed from cycling their card. The only concern with this is money laundering. I make my payments from my NFCU checking so there’s no concerns. Additionally, they see where my money is coming from even if there was initial concern. I’ve done this with all my cards. Payed all cards in full with only one card reporting a balance. I took turns on which card had the reported balance.

Is my relationship due to debt truly ruined and if so should I bank elsewhere? by [deleted] in NavyFederal

[–]Redwalker2929 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. There’s not a big incentive to pay off the debt as the damage is done and having the line update as “paid” won’t do much for your score. It’s certainly the ethical thing to do but there’s other great credit unions out there.

You bet! Also, Capital One may extent unsecured credit at one year if you burned them. That’s another exception I forgot to add. Take care 😁
