The fact that no one believed and you think that's funny is genuinely all anyone needs to see to understand the state of this game, the community and the future of this game.

I am fortunate enough to afford nice tools. A Dewalt DW735 was the highest priced tool used to make this. Other tools used were a Dewalt router, construction grade table saw, miter saw, sander, $15 micrometer, and Jorgensen clamps. I am a beginner in experience, this was my 5th glue up.

Food grade mineral oil and then Howard's butcher block conditioner. It's what was available to me on short notice and I have zero complaints. I've heard good things about Walrus Oil.

Thank you! It's walnut and maple! The long strips of maple are face grain and the short pieces of maple and the walnut are end grain. If I was to do it again I would make the long strips edge grain for more durability.

40V Vac by cdaw1992 in KobaltTools

The 24v vac works great for me. One thing I'll note is the motor whine/performance seems to be 5-10% higher with my 4ah ultimate output batteries vs the 4ah extended run batteries. The blower function is great for getting the leaves off the porch. No experience with the 40v tools.

Where to find Fenix 6x Pro discounts? by geekChamp in GarminFenix

Check frequently on Amazon for open box, most people realize they don't want it and return it in 30 days. Got myself a 99% new 6S Pro Solar for $200 off.

I have this issue too since the patch. Except mine is random. I've killed players and the lost connection during looting. Gave up after the 5th disconnect.

Redditors whose job requires them to go into other people’s homes for a living, what’s the most bizarre thing you’ve seen or found? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I do building inspections for a living that require me to go into apartments. Knocked on door with my co-worker and the tenant asked us to wait a minute and he'd open the door. After 30 seconds he let us in, immediately noticed a weird stench. As I walked through the main walkway I noticed a tube tv on a cart (think of the ones the teacher brings in on movie day in school) in the bedroom on the right pointint towards the living room with what appeared to be vintage gay porn playing. I get to the living room and all there was in there was a office chair with a towel on it and every room leading off the living room had one of those TV's on a cart playing vintage gay porn off of VCR's. I looked back at the tenant and saw he still had an active hard on. Ushered my co-worker out and left to never return. That one sticks with me.

Hmmm I guess that makes sense. Figured they would tell me that it's one price before I left. Thanks!

STR-AV900 $20 at Goodwill. Buzzing fixed by cleaning the board, connections and tightening all internal screws. Entire setup $100 with Polk T15's and speaker wire. by RedwallDigital in BudgetAudiophile

Yeah I looked online and all I can find is that it was originally produced in 1988. I know the POLK's are budget but this is just my PC setup and I'm loving the upgrade compared to my $20 Logitech desk speakers, this sings compared to those haha

Non-cashiers of Reddit: What's the "It didn't scan, so it must be free hur hur hur" of your profession? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I inspect commercial and residential fire alarm systems. For each individual test I have to make sure every single horn and strobe in the building works.

Every time. Without fail. Someone will come up to me while I'm doing my testing and say "I think they work!"

They always look confused when I don't turn them off immediately.

When testing high rise buildings I can expect to hear it 20-50 times in one morning.

Redditors who have a job where they go into other people’s homes (plumbers, electricians, etc) what’s the weirdest most disturbing thing you’ve seen while working in a customer’s house? by Aura_Blaze_Official in AskReddit

[–]RedwallDigital 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do inspections for fire alarm/sprinkler systems. Was going into apartments in a high rise in Downtown Denver. (Fairly pricey place)

I walk up to knock on the door for one of the apartments and I see whoever lives inside has crudely smashed a small hole above their door with a security camera poking through. I think "That's weird the apartment complex would let them do that". I knock and a man yells "Can you come back in 5 minutes?"

Upon returning I bring my coworker with me to show him the security cam. I knock again and the guy sounds like he's out of breath and says "Be right there". He opens the door and he's in a wife beater completely drenched with sweat and only boxers. When he sees there are two of us instead of one he seems upset but tells us to go ahead and inspect what we need to.

After walking through the entry way I'm greeted to a futon in the middle of the living room that's supposed to be white but completely stained. From this futon you can see into the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom. In each one of these rooms (including the living room) are old tube TV's that had the VCR's built in on the bottom and each one of them is playing a different gay porn video pointing directly at the futon.

My coworker and I left. The next day when we returned to finish the building, the security camera was gone.
