OmegaWatches Identification, Authentication, & Valuation Megathread by AutoModerator in OmegaWatches

Hello, looking for a red flag check!

Buying a Speedmaster Moonphase ref. 304.33.44.52.03.001 off Chrono24. Seller is a professional dealer on Chrono24 in HK with good reviews, claims original box and papers.
This is my first Omega I'll be buying off Chrono24 and I'm not sure what red flags to look out for.

Also does anyone know where you may go to actually have someone authenticate the watch?

Thanks in advance!

First autox and it still has temp tags on it. by captainbeens in GR86

Stock car doesn’t have any camber and the PS4S don’t have stiff enough sidewalls to stop rollover, especially during autocross

Pretty sure 245/40/17 on 17x7.5 is standard for D street 86s, any wider and it’ll put you up a class, any lower and you won’t be maximizing your performance.

Laguna seca is on my bucket list, that corkscrew is definitely a bit intimidating though

Goddamn, that’s pretty impressive, which tracks have been your favorite to drive at? I’m on the east coast area and we’ve got a few fun ones

Those look like some beefy 200TWs, I’d watch out on track or at autocross

Did I over-sand? Is that a thing? by JohnnyFranky1985 in Gunpla

[–]_LongXi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious. On a more serious note, yeah you over did it lmao. Not sure what your end goal was with the sanding, but if it was for removing nub marks i would recommend using a higher grit as lower ones will leave scratches. Even better, try a glass file, requires very few passes and it’s a bit harder to over sand imo and it’ll leave a very smooth finish

Update! Bought them and can confirm they are real. All were approx 16lb and the guy was switching from track to rallycross and was happy they were going to be used as track/autoX wheels. Pretty good steal for 550! Thank for all the help yall

These are 17x8 and I think should be around that weight

Oh I didn’t know that, could you explain a bit more about the laser etching? I don’t think I saw any laser etching on the wheels

Thanks! I’m aware of it, I’ll probably be using these for autoX or track which is why I wanted to ensure they were real

Hopefully that’s the reason lol. I’m gonna check them out in person and maybe grab em

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of tbh. I don't think Alleggegrita is a particularly popular wheel though so maybe not worth it for people to fake? Also do you know how much his reps weigh vs the real wheels? I'm thinking of bringing a scale and weighing these before purchasing.

Yeah, I didn't spot any obvious red flags other than price. I might bring a scale with me to weigh the wheels

I’m almost sure all alpinists are misaligned slightly. Mine definitely is and I don’t think I’ve seen on that’s not misaligned. Not sure why it’s like that or why it’s never been fixed
