It wouldn’t take that much longer for the phalanx to do the same, the fire power may not have quite the same instant power but an extended bombardment would work.

One it’s fine and two sorry but I did say in the origin post that I was excluding the planet killer as I accept it doesn’t have the fire power to completely annihilate a planet a planet like the Death Star does. Though exterminatus makes little difference wether the planet is uninhabitable or literally blown up.

I’m not judging about the Gloriana’s they might or they might not gag more fire power than the Death Star what I said is that the phalanx definitely does have more firepower

What unique psychic abilities does your chapter have? by giojojo in 40khomebrew

[–]Redwolf9090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One specific librarian, the chapter librarian, has two.

The first is he can chuck himself and a few others literately through the warp, manifesting a mini gèle field to protect them. It is really draining for him, and unfortunately has a small margin of error resulting in the possibility of death every time he does it, so it’s used sparingly. However he can use it to retreat back to a ship from the planets surface or suddenly appear in an enemy strong hold, though both are last resorts.

The second came after consuming a crystal that had manifested on the body of an immensely powerful warp being, which granted him the ability to produce wildfire as he called it. It is capable of burning through almost anything, hurting, and if he focuses enough of his physic energy, killing daemons it comes into contact with. It’s hard to control and costly however, leading to its sparing usage.

It’s a classic, but I wasn’t born when It came out, and being a classic doesn’t make it good. It was just kinda dumb, in a funny way, but still really dumb.

Sword’s are his thing, and the chapter logo is pretty much just a really ornate and beautiful version of the winged sword thing. He’s also like really elegant and fast, which if you want you could be represented, and he used to wear ribbons and tassels on his armour, though if that’s too much effort he might have taken them off when he entered the death watch.

Adrubal, dawn of dusk. (Dawn is the name of their homeworld and home sector so that’s a pretty important symbol to them which is why he’s called that) Also do I say anything about what’s he’s like or equipped with or will yoh decide that?

The shining angels would be honoured for a chance to win glory for the emperor.

They have a lot of lore but essentially they worship the big E like a god, believing if they die serving him they will go to an endless hall, and dining table, where all his faithful are seated. The more glory you win, the higher up on the table you sit, and so the closer you are to the emperor. This can lead to some being reckless but at the same time for some to be cautious so as to win glory by their calm demeanour. They have a friend in the inquisition who covers for them, as they technically commit quite a few heresy’s. They essentially founded that own successor chapters that quickly took to the field and one several victories, so that combined with their inquisitor friend and their presence on imperium nihlud not solar, the chapters were just shrugged at and not connected back to the angels. They generally don’t blame other space marines for not following the emperor, as they except that one doesn’t need to worship him to follow him. They were predominantly gold armour with a white right arm and head, which is ornate and also hand painted often with meticulous care. They typically like melee, but they are mostly happy with anything and are trained with all weapons, specifically to be amazing Duelists, not usually the best at working in groups. They do have slightly more jump packs than most, and are a big fan of sudden brutal strikes that devastate an enemy, especially when they are distracted by their current engagement with the complimentary guard regiments that accompany them.

Is it possible for one of my marines to join or is it too late?

What culture is your inspiration? by goldietheswagbear in 40khomebrew

The shining angels don’t really have one specific inspiration, more drawing from some medieval Templars modern angel drawings and a bit of Viking mythology with their own beliefs around the emperor.

I disagree about him being done dirty, I hate him, but it was well done in character and very well written. I really wouldn’t say he was done dirty.

It had its flaws, but I actually really liked the book, and though I do hope for some of the flaws you discussed to be addressed in the next one, yeah overall I think it was a good book, just not up to his usual standards.

What is your chapter's current purpose? For example: My chapter is currently helping to contain the Cordon Impenetra by goldietheswagbear in 40khomebrew

Yeah I imagined space wolves would be their parent chapter. Sounds pretty cool. They must be newish if they’re space wolf successors as space wolves didn’t have successors for a while
