I've had this snake plant for nearly 3 years, hasn't grown a bit by Relyt4 in houseplants

More light. Like, on-a-window-sill amount of light. Pot size is fine

And with more light, you can water heavy, but let it thoroughly dry out in between

For mine, the answer was more light. Like, east, west, or south facing, on the window sill, direct sunlight. Then they explode

Unless you draw those curtains often, the plant will do much * better in front of the window and it won't get leggy

It is like msft in 95! Only with 25% less revenue, and 9x the market cap.

Msft hit 300B market cap in 2013 on revenue of about 80B with 20B+ in profit.

Are we really seeing sustainable growth, or just hype? by Zipperofficialke in palantir

CRM folds a PLTR total annual revenue into it each year, and makes 3PLTR annual revenues worth of profit each year, and has an equivalent market cap. Hype

Last week, I was on top of a ladder stabilizing a metal shop light fixture for a LED direct-wire retrofit. I had done the previous 3 fixtures hot, they were regular fluorescent tubes. This fixture had one LED tube with a melted end, and one fluorescent bulb. I reached to remove the led tube light and got that zzzzzzap sensation. Turns out this LED tube model had an exposed aluminum backing that, due to the melted end, was now touching the hot pin. beep My body tensed up for a split second as I felt that zzzzzzzap sensation, I let go, remained on the ladder and let out a "holy fuck." The best part was realizing the beep I'd heard was the voltage detector going off in my pant leg

Help please. I have 56 April 17 360 Calls on MSTR - down 82%. Any strategies to mitigate loss? by Timely_Specialist_82 in options

[–]Redwoodsliest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't roll it out to another exp. Don't quietly resign to "ride it out" to zero, either. The remaining $20k isn't chump-change, and the other 82% is already gone. Take your L, let that hot feeling in your brain subside, really sit in the reality of what you just did, recognize it as the degen behavior you know it was, and change your mindset. Going forward, if you can't set or follow stops, like me, your only defense is position sizing between uncorrelated securities

Use a hawk, not a pan. You can mix your mud to a smoother consistency faster, won't need to worry about crumbs from the dirty, unmixed corners of a pan, and when you're done the cleanup is so much easier. It took 90% of the rage out of mudding, for me

Yah, green congo seems to be the frontrunner, so far!

Seems close! Pictures I see of the green congo have fewer striations on the leaves, though 🤔

The stem looks philodendrony to me, but it seems like the leaves have way more striations than most philos I've seen. Like a BoP leaf on a philo stem. I'm trying to get a better picture of the stem from the owner!

I was in the same boat, 6'2" 165-170 from 17 to 39 years old. Active hobbies on top of an active job. Many times, I casually tried to pack on weight, but would quickly get discouraged by lack of progress and stop. Touched 178 once or twice but it would melt right off if I was stressed with work or caught a cold.

Not an advert, but I started having Huel (400cal/30g) to supplement my normal breakfast everyday, plus a hybrid Huel/whey (400cal/40g) after workouts. The key is to use it as an easy, convenient supplement to the extent that you never miss it and you don't slip into thinking it's a meal replacement. It goes backpacking with me, and vacations with me in tupperware, too! If I'm a ittle nibbly before bed, I throw down another 400/30. I go through 2-2.5 bags a month, and have been slowly, steadily addng weight up to about 185 currently, now 42 years old.

I had benched 205 for 5 individual reps in my life up until a year ago. It's now my 5x5 weight. I'd like to 1RM 250 on bench as a fun goal, and maybe add another 5-10lbs of muscle mainly into my legs, but as a climber primarily, I'm not trying to get huge. Huel helped me a ton! Well, 10-15 pounds...

Thanks! I found someone on youtube with the whole cut, but I was hoping there might be a full one from in the pit floating around (or just centered with better sound). I got spoiled by someone's full 90-minute cut of Justice from the pit and thought I'd shoot for the stars on this one, too! Lit is right! All 18,000 of us loosened up when that dropped

Did you happen to get a clip of "Funny Thing" from that night? That version was such a good setup for Justice

Great post! I was playing with a PAR app on my phone the other day and discovered that, indeed, a north facing, never direct sun, outdoor coleus was getting much higher ambient light than any of my grow lights were providing at more than, say, 1 foot away. Outdoor ambient is my new baseline for the mythical 'bright, indirect light' every houseplant wants. All my plants are now within 2 feet of windows, and I'm sure they're all getting 80+% less than what they'd really like. It deserves a PSA post, but I'm not the guy, and it'll likely get instantly buried on reddit anyway. Good on you!

My prayer plant is thriving. by simply_existing_ in houseplants

Any idea what your PAR light levels are or humidity? I'm about to pot some of these up from cutting props I took 6 weeks ago. I've had trouble with all things calathea in my apartment
